  2. 10 years ago 2 friends of mine were out fishing and the passenger was drinking a beer (the only one he had) and was spotted by the police. He was given a $125 ticket and the driver, who wasn't drinking, was told that seeing as he was in charge of the boat, could also be charged, basically for permitting open beer in his boat.

  16. If you want to tow a heavy boat, get yourself a strong truck. If you get yourself a strong truck, don't expect real good gas mileage. If your worried about poor gas mileage, get yourself a small boat that can be towed with a small truck. You can't have everything boys. I bought myself a boat that's around 3500 pounds, so I also bought myself an F-150 supercrew with a 5.4 motor to tow it with. It's a stong truck and does a great job of towing the boat, it also stops very well and has plenty of room for carrying my gear. It's OK on fuel consumption but not good, but I knew that when I bought it and as such, I don't worry about it. It is what it is.
  17. Welcome to the board gatorchaser. You'd probably do better with your request by starting a new post on your destination and hopefully someone will have the info your looking for.
  18. There ya go, if you don't try, you don't catch. Nice fish !!
  19. I use the Rogers Rocket Hub for both the phones and internet and for the most part it works well, infact the internet is as fast as when I was on cable in the city. The odd time it does slow down though, specially early in the mornings, to the point where I can't even open websites. I've called Rogers a couple times to ask why it slows down, but you all know where that conversation goes.
  20. Clear Lake appeared to be frozen right across a couple days back, even had a skim of snow on it. Today it's pretty well wide open again except for ice out from the west shore for 150' or so.
  21. Definetely A Christmas Story for me !! I was a kid of the 50's and can relate to just about everything in that movie. I loved Ovaltine and just like Ralphie, I received a BB gun for Christmas in 1955 and never shot my eye out like Mom said I would. Everytime I see that movie it reminds me of me and my little brother back in the day. My family knows how much I enjoy that show and my daughter even put this in my stocking a couple years back
  22. Nice bag of fish Larry.
  23. That's about the nicest tribute to a friend I've ever read Bruce. My little Marvin is about the same size as Peanut and ever since this terrible thing happened I've been thinking about her. From someone who loves dogs as much as you Bruce, you have my very deepest sympathies & condolances. It's very sad indeed.
  24. Thanks for keeping up informed Kelvin and all the best to your wife.
  25. If you pay for her trip in full Bob, I'm sure she could suggest a few wagers for you, although I doubt she'd guarantee the results
