  1. Sounds like a real enjoyable trip Matt and always good when you can meet up with some new fishing buds.
  2. Nope were alright George, our Premier said their gonna have the insurance companies drop our rates 15% this year and we all know the Liberals have never lied to us before.
  3. Ya never know what you might drag up off the bottom LOL
  4. Bunks for me, takes no time at all to load or unload.
  5. And speaking of trailer tires and if you haven't done it yet, be sure the lug wrench for your truck wheels also fits the lugs on your trailer wheels, because they don't always. You don't want to be stranded on the side of the hiway because you can't get the lugs off.
  6. Sounds like your really enjoying your summer Brian !!
  7. All the best to you Roy
  8. Never saw Maverick but always enjoyed Rockford Files
  9. Thanks Dave, I wasn't sure how that worked.
  10. Hey Dave, if someone has an accident but claims they weren't using the phone or text, can you still tell it they actually were ??
  11. Be good if they could come up with something that would disable the car as soon as you hit a text button. Wishful thing I spose.
  12. The current can get very strong at times Paul and your right, you need to show alot of respect for the power of that river.
  13. Your absolutely right Paul, it's a nice river but can get nasty sometimes and if your not properly set up it can be downright dangerous. We we're trolling for musky by the railway bridge near the Peace Bridge in an 18' glass boat one December when the water boiled up underneath the boat and spun us nearly around. Smaller boat could have been very bad.
  14. Yeah, me too Dave.....NOT
  15. Being retired is a tough life Dave
  16. I really like that one Bushart. My Dad grew up on a small farm in Saskatchewan in the 30's and they pulled the plow with a team of Clydesdales and as soon as I saw your painting I thought of him. Used to know the name of his horses but darned if I can think of them now, but it seems to me one was Tess.
  17. Big chunky fish ya got yourself there Dave, very nice.
  18. Sounds like a great trip Cliff & congrats to your daughter on the PB. I can't believe how much she's grown since I last saw her. As for your loon picture, looks like I've got one of his twin LOL
  19. Looks like it should work well landry, nice job. Here's another idea and what I use the odd time I want to measure a musky. Just a simple wooden dowel with a cross piece on the end and marked up to 55". Once the fish is in the water and I'm holding her tail I just hook the end over her snout and check the number at the end of her tail. If she's bigger than 55" I'll have to use my imagination
  20. Thanks Chad, really great story and some excellent pictures to go along with it.
  21. Here's an update from a local Peterboro newspaper. http://www.mykawartha.com/news-story/4634268-update-captured-cougar-will-spend-rest-of-its-life-in-captivity/
  22. I had a very good friend who stiffed me for $75 one time and even when I asked him about the money he refused to pay it back which to me is the same as stealing. I walked away from the friendship and never spoke to or saw him again and figured it was his loss. Friends don't steal from friends.
  23. Don't depend on others to check your tire pressure, find out what they should be and check them yourself EVERY trip then you know it's right. And check your spare too....just in case.
  24. I started using the regular PP years ago and have never had a reason to try anything else as it does exactly what I want it to do.
  25. I've actually had some good luck with an east wind and all 3 of those fish I posted about earlier in this thread came with wind from the east.
