  1. I got this Rock Tamer mud flap from Cabelas a couple years back and it does an excellent job of keeping stones from flying up and hitting the boat & trailer.
  2. I've got one hanging on the wall of my garage and spend many hours staring at it and day dreaming thru the long cold winters
  3. Under the frame is where I always go Norm and if the ground is soft, put a block of wood under the jack to keep it from sinking in.
  4. It's still in pretty good shape after 5 years Bill, hopefully I can keep it that way.
  5. Yeah, a good launch is definitely a bonus Bill, for ANY kind of boat LOL
  6. Quick GOOGLE seach brought this one up. Don't know if it'll help you though. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCQQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lakenipissingoutdoors.com%2Flake-nipissing-fishing-map.php&ei=yaK6U6GsJcGNyAS284HYAQ&usg=AFQjCNF7qB5txx9k8QORJZP0ziaL8tORgA
  7. No issues trailering, launching or retrieving a glass boat if you've got the vehicle & trailer to do it Bill, infact no different than an aluminum or wooden boat.
  8. Very nice Doug, you seem to do well every time you hit the water.
  9. Mom's folks worked as cooks in the bush camps in the area in the early 1900's, then built a hotel beside the rail line up in Chapleau. It burned down around 1918 and they moved to Killaloe where the rest of the family already lived. This is the hotel in 1917. My grandfather is wearing the white shirt, grandma is sitting in the chair holding my uncle Leonard and the little girl is my Aunt Mable. Mom came along in 1922.
  10. Yeah, I know the place your talking about now, about 1/4 mile east of the tavern. It's a beautiful part of Ontario and my Mom is from Killaloe just a few miles east of Wilno.
  11. We drive up there every couple months and always stop in the Wilno Tavern for lunch and hit all the little shops in the area, but I'm not familiar with this place, but I'm thinking it may be the art shop right beside the tavern ??
  12. Nice bunch of fish there boys, well done for sure.
  13. Wonderful trip Mike, especially with your family going along with you.
  14. I've had wood, aluminum & fiberglass and much prefer glass because of the smoother ride in rough water, but it's all a personal choice.
  15. I was probably the worlds worst golfer but Parkview was the course where I broke 100 for the one & only time in my entire pitiful golfing career.
  16. Always enjoy reading your fishing tales about when you and your brother get out together Rob.
  17. If I have room in the truck, that's where the extra weight always goes as long as it's within the weight limits. I always keep my trailer as light as possible and don't even top up the gas tanks until I'm close to my destination.
  18. Good to have you back bud.
  19. Very nice Chris & if you know it's coming from Joey, you know it'll be good.

I agree with all the others, those pics really are outstanding.
  21. Wonderful news Gerritt & congratulations to your entire family.
  22. The docks are a bit rough right now Brian but the new owners of the camp are gonna be rebuilding them all over the winter and they should be great for next season. They've got lots of plans for the place and it should be very nice once it's done.
  23. Good to know there's at least one other member of this board that enjoys the finer things in life
  24. Kashabog was a favorite camping/fishing location for me and my family back in the 50's Shane, but darned if I can remember any of the good fishing holes now...sorry I can't be of any help.
  25. I don't know Papineau, but if you've got the time head over to Wilno which is just east of Barry's Bay and eat at the Wilno Tavern, absolute best Polish food I've ever had. Wife and I often make the 200 mile round trip just for their food.
