  1. Fish like that sure make the day worth while
  2. Good to see you enjoying the new toys Brian.
  3. They bumped ours up yesterday from $1.22 - $1.29
  4. Just a guess here Steve, but I imagine any big freighters will get priority over pleasure craft passing through there.
  5. It's amazing how much trouble can be caused by one guys stupid act.
  6. Might be better for you to hit the road much earlier Rich, this is a long weekend up here and there'll be LOTS of folks travelling the highways. Fred's got the right idea of getting thru that stretch of road VERY early.
  7. We've got a few coyotes around here but not many, but I had an animal on my front lawn a couple years back that I'm not sure what it was, possibly a coydog ?? He was about the size of a heavy German Sheppard with shortish brown grey hair and just as mean looking as they come. I opened the front door to chase him away and he just sorta sneered at me and wandered off down the road.
  8. See ya Thursday Rich & hoping this is your year for the biggun.
  9. That's about as good as it gets.
  10. I always fish the West Arm which is just a few miles south of you and by mid June the cabbage is normally within a foot of the surface which is perfect. Was up there 5 weeks ago and the weeds were basically nonexistent. Only heard of one nice musky (52") caught in the area all week and that came off an island point with a little patch of weed at the end of it. Hopefully now there's enough cabbage in the next couple weeks to bring the girls back into their normal areas.
  11. And that's what it's all about right there !! Good to hear you guys had such a great trip and put some real nice fish in the boat. I'm heading up to the West Arm next week for 16 days so hopefully the musky bite is still on.
  12. Wouldn't be necessary as Yammie's don't break down
  13. That's great Matt, love the smiles on the little guys face
  14. Well done Mike, that's the way to win a tourney , waiting right till the end LOL
  15. You've got a good memory Lucas and your 100% correct. MikeP and myself were trolling Pigeon Lake and I hooked a nice musky that jumped and broke my 10" jointed Believer in half. I took a picture and sent it off to Drifter Tackle more of an FYI for them and a few days later received a phone call from them with an apology and they then sent me 2 more baits for replacement. Mind you it was a $25 bait that broke and I don't know if I'd expect the same level of customer service for a 10 cent bolt, but I spose it would have been a nice gesture on the part of Scotty.
  16. There's the most intelligent statement of the day, well said Steve.
  17. Wouldn't shock me at all Shayne but it's not limited to city kids as I can show you country kids who wouldn't know a raspberry from a goat.
  18. Nope, just read some of the replies to this post Bill, some of these guys think everyone who lives in a city will perish in the next big storm.
  19. What I find interesting is how so many of you guys are all bent out of shape because some poor lady didn't recognize a raspberry. Take a look around boys, there's far more things to worry about.
  20. Same here Paul, I'll take 67 over 87 any day of the week.
  21. That's what 2nd opinions are for Dax and still much better than seeking medical advice from those with NO medical background.
  22. My advice would be go back and talk to your doctor again rather than asking for medical advice from a bunch of strangers on a fishing website. Least that's what I do when I'm sick.
  23. Two places I'll recommend are Memquisit Lodge & Mashkinonje Lodge, both on the West Arm of Nippissing and probably 50 miles south east of Sudbury...give or take. I was at Mashkinonje last month and liked it so much we've already booked for next June and I've stayed at Memquisit a couple times and am leaving August 9th for another 2 weeks. https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CBwQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mashkinonjelodge.com%2F&ei=4CLVU6-PNpKQyASGoYHIDQ&usg=AFQjCNFF5F_8NXO_6P2FPvvzMdpB6FaP0w&bvm=bv.71778758,d.aWw https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0CBwQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.memquisitlodge.net%2F&ei=CiPVU--ROYKyyASH4YLYCw&usg=AFQjCNGSBtQDrB8MkFPhKPcQfp05MIyJ4w&bvm=bv.71778758,d.aWw
  24. The only fishing I do anymore is muskies on Lake Nippissing for a week in June and another 2 in August. I live in the Kawarthas and am only 100 yards from Clear Lake, but haven't been on a local lake this year and I think only 3 times last year. I still have the passion for big northern muskies but other than that, I've basically retired from fishing altogether.
