I'm out on the street due to a lock out because we won't agree to shaft 9000 pensioners...2000 of which are widows....heavy industry claims a lot of lives due to dangerous working conditions, various cancers etc...and I wouldn't want to be in this without a union....our managers put us in some deadly situations to try to speed things up, one that resulted in a fellow worker with second degree burns...if he had inhaled when he was engulfed in flames he would be dead....I used to hate unions until I started to work for the morons I work for now.....

It's funny how people say unions suck but how many know how much the average worker has benefited from the gains in health and safety/working hours/minimum standards etc,etc... These weren't gifts from the government given just because they liked us...In 1946, workers at stelco got 2 weeks off after 25 years of service...today you get that after a year...if the big corporations had their way, we would go back to 46....I don't always agree with what the public sector unions ask for because they tend to be greedy with public tax dollars...There seems to be a race to the bottom these days with the average home price at 250-300 thousand and wages dropping and failing to even keep up with inflation...The hate should be directed at the ones who started the big recession and economic collapse in 2008...big banks and corporations took government bailouts ,then gave themselves big bonuses......watch the movie inside job to get some perspective.....

I wouldn't use it...I bought a Canadian made Napolean 8 years ago and I'm good to go for another 5 or 10...The chinese junk at the major retailers will have a much shorter life...stainless should not rust!!!

Get the gas for #15 from a CEO's big SUV and you win twice.....

While it looks like a great place, the price of almost $600 for the flight and $495pp per night is a little beyond my budget... for that price you could go to BC for salmon...

Canola all the way...if you are going to deep fry on a regular basis it's the best for your heart and health....otherwise if you only do it a few times a year, lard would be ok..........

Conservation areas were often created to manage water levels after Hurricane Hazel. They then created a monster by offering more and more ammenities. The Government then told them they were going to fund just the water management part of it. THAT'S how they come up with the charge to get in!!! I guess in Quebec our tax dollars make everything seem free..." user pay " is here!! I hate the high fees as well...

It just seems dumb to me to own a truck like that....but then again if I had a tricked out boat, someone would say "it's a dumb idea to own something like that...." Imagine that hitting a Honda Fit...

Google Basa CTV report.... you may not want to eat it again....same thing goes for Tilapia.. Chicken liver should be cheap..every time you cook a turkey or chicken, freeze the liver on a non stick surface and when solid put it in a bag...then you have a supply that isn't a big lump....
-
I believe they stock Kelso... Christie Conservation area near Dundas has stocked trout ponds but it's a bit pricy to get in....

My linkIf you're looking for a cheap canoe rental, try wagjag Hamilton...Beach Marine has a one, two and seven day canoe rental deals for $10,20 and 40 respectively....only one more day for this deal....

Check out the seafoam website...looks to be a good product for outboards..

Actually, you can fill your bathtub for about 25 cents.........

I also filled up at 1.29 and it was chaos!!Because I came into the station from the South entrance and the lineup was longer from the North, there were some getting angry at us drivers in the smaller lines for butting in(apparently). I guess I could have done a U-turn but on a busy 4 lane road that's not a good idea.....There are few winners when two lines from opposite directions try to feed three lanes of a gas station...ouch

I would have gotten the number from the boat...call it in as a suspected drunk boat driver and explain what they did...I'm guessing that might put them on the radar of the police pretty quick...

Wouldn't you love to be an oil executive right now.....You didn't have to do a damn thing and profits are suddenly up by 25% so you end up being called a genius.......that translates into a 7 figure bonus.....

I would love to see some testing in the lower Welland River and the Niagara as well. At about 500 bucks for each test the costs will be high....There's still a lot of ground work that must be covered before then.

I have done this on a short term basis with underpriviledged kids( half a day)...If you have insurance worries then check into the possibility of starting a club affiliated with the OFAH. They provide members with free insurance for certain outdoor activities that may include this type of camp....You may also need to get police checks for anyone who is involved...in fact it's a good idea to do it anyways...Then there's the issue of feeding them etc. A day camp setup may be a good way to start off with overnights only if the parents stay with them or in a nearby tent...A good source of ideas could be scout leaders....

It's in the Binbrook reservoir that feeds the Welland river which then makes it's way to the lower Niagara River. There are spots in the welland river that are much worse than the lake which indicates that it has already travelled some distance from the source........My link

The contamination results are exactly what we thought they would be at the edge of the airport.... The question now is how to clean it up and who will pay for it? Taxpayers will end up footing the bill but local fishermen have already paid the ultimate price with consumtion restrictions and a loss of confidence in a great local fishery. On a positive note, since it has been catch and release for all fish but the crappies and perch, exposure has been limited since concentration are lower in smaller fish... Record levels of contamination

I like the guys at both stores...Fishing world can be crazy busy and the prices are good due to volume sales. If you go in enough you can find the best ones to deal with. I had a good conversation about turkey hunting with a couple of fellows in the gun area as well....As for Bills bait...great guys...I'm glad we have two good shops in Hamilton to go to....
