If you haven't already heard about this in Binbrook...It appears we have a big time problem to solve. This lake is legendary for producing large numbers of Crappie....The guide for eating sportfish says 4 Meals not 2 as it states in the article(reduced from 8). All other fish besides perch are not recommended for eating. There is not a lot of info on the damage it can do to a persons body compared to many other chemicals the ministry tests for. Women of child bearing age and young girls have to follow the limit more closely than the men..... My link

Crown land suggestions for family please.
pics replied to RustyShackleford's topic in General Discussion
There's some crown land near Crystal Lake north of Bobcageon along the fire access roads... Maybe someone in the area could give you more info..... -
Try the small lake near the group camping area if you have a canoe.....

Maybe Flexible Technologies in near the Gateway postal sorting plant in Mississauga can help. Lots of different vacuum hoses in stock......I'm not sure they sell to the public but it's worth a try...

A good home inspector will give you a video of everything he reported on AND a report in a binder... Don't furnish it with the don't pay for a year furniture....those stores usually have poor quality offshore junk that breaks before you pay for it...If you're on a budget, save and pay cash. The credit cards should be empty for any emergencies the will come up(and they will).... In five years when you renew and the home has more equity, your bank will bend over backwards to keep you as a customer. This is how you get your boat because the payments on the house should go down enough to get one.....unless you had a line of credit or a visa etc that the banks want you to throw on the renewal...don't do it! Never roll car payments etc into a renewal...your 10 000 car loan becomes much bigger in the long run... If you aren't already one, become a handyman.....unless you have handy friends...this will save you the most $$$

Slobs like this are lazy....Open each bag and look for an address or identification on an envelope etc. In all likelihood you will find one. Then just take it back to them and throw it on their front lawn....I'm sure it just fell off the truck by mistake ....They might like that you returned it to them.......or not

Warning about filling propane tanks with adaptor.
pics replied to Nipfisher's topic in General Discussion
If you follow the instructions with the refiller and add a few precautions such as storing them in a well ventilated area, testing each one with soapy water, and even using a small scale to ensure they are not overfilled, then you wil be ok. At less than a buck to re-fill compared to 5 bucks for a new bottle, you are not only saving money, you save them from the garbage. A five lb tank is a better solution but when I'm pulling my ice sled the less weight the better........ -
An hour to get rid of a years worth of guilt?? People will turn out the lights for an hour but won't get out of the suv to get their coffee......most people are hypocrites.......

This happened to our old cavalier. Try to find the ground wire from the motor then check where it is grounded to the firewall. Unscrew it , sand the metal parts that are rusty, then put it back together. If that doesn't work, well....... If it has one of those circuit boards,(I doubt it does) they can be fixed as well. Remove the board and use a dollar store magnifying glass to find small cracks in the solder. Get a small soldering gun and re-melt the affected areas. The full size chev trucks had these and many people were stuck buying new parts when they could be fixed in 10 minutes..........

Lowes in East Hamilton has them on clearance for $15....It's a small device that transfers propane from the 20 lb tanks to the 1 lb tanks. It pays for itself in only 4 refills. I'm not sure on the legalities of it all but it saves the tanks from going to the dump .....I have only had 1 that leaked and I put it onto a heater..leak solved... They are on an end isle near the plants etc....

I also know a fellow going through tough times..As soon as he was locked out at work the wife said "I want a divorce".....I guess she was only in it for the cash...

I don't hear too much about this problem just outside of Hamilton but in the new Binbrook subdivisions there seems to be a lot of rules on what you can put in your driveway, not to mention satelite dishes, clothes lines and older cars etc..whatever dosen't "fit" with the neighborhood standards....status symbols seem to be ok though...

I'm glad to live in an area just outside the city where I can put my pop up, boat and utility trailer in my driveway. I don't like being told what to do on my own property... I keep things neat, not junky though.....

Another thing that really pisses me off is the issue with the pollutants in the lake down the road...a five minute drive.. I really hope that the MOE comes down hard on the ones who did it.It's obvious where it came from!! The fish are still safe to eat four times a month but I limit my families exposure to 2 meals or less now.....

There's a Mayday rally in Ottawa on May 1st!!! We need to take control of our resources and companies!!We pay more and more for things but our pay doesn't go up along with it. Meanwhile the CEO,s and their buddies move production offshore to save a few bucks and ensure their bonuses. It really pisses me off when people say it won't affect them because it hurts all of us... It's great if you can absorb the extra costs but I'm at the point where I can't afford the gas to go fishing.....

You're right on with the price of the jeans AND the sunflower seeds are a great deal....I'm watching the birds eat them right now....(the sunflower seeds..lol)

Metro has good quality meat but way overpriced as well...I can go to highland in stoney creek..better quality, local beef and properly aged.....
-
I laugh when I see what people buy there..Mostly crap they don't need..BUT ,if you know your prices you can make it worthwhile...The vegetable prices are awfull, the meat is overpriced but very good quality(wait for the sales) and the clothes are priced right...Oh yea, good prices at the photo shop....

Bass Fisherman considering suing power company
pics replied to Billy Bob's topic in General Discussion
Whenever I watch a Buffalo TV station, half the ads are for lawyers "get what you deserve" !!! I never see that on a Canadian channel..... -
Basa is also a product of Vietnam, farmed on the same river that carries raw sewage and chemicals from unregulated factories........ Just seen it at Walmart... As for Tilapia, if you knew what they were fed you wouldn't eat it.....

Raise fishing license fees for U.S. visitors??
pics replied to blue pickeral's topic in General Discussion
Tough choices for sure...The American people are going to have to watch closely to ensure the goverment looks out for the common mans interest. 5.50 per person won't save them.... -
Raise fishing license fees for U.S. visitors??

Either stop spending or raise taxes...sounds simple enough but I know it's not....How much a day for the military??? The 2011 budget for defence related expenditures are between 1 and 1.4 trillion which includes homeland security, the FBI, NASA, the military etc.....DO YOU feel safe??? Good Luck..I'm afraid the most vulerable will pay the biggest price...... -
I would have reacted the same way... I can no longer use the self defence plea because a little while back I had someone throw something through the window of our car(we reported it). I was so pissed about it that I posted on facebook something about being ready for them next time. The police then phoned and accused me of threatening with a gun. They told me that if something was to happen in the future it would be pre-meditated now. They wanted to take my guns away with no charges.... argh, here I go again...waiting by the phone for them to call again...
