  1. Nice Job!! I have just started planning a trip up there for next summer. We're doing the north east angle of the lake. Getting pumped and it is a year away.
  2. Rest in Peace Jen. You have left this world far too young. Wayne, you and your family have my sincerest condolences. Going through my own battle with cancer Jen inspired me to no end. She was something else. Her courage and determination were unbelievable. Take care of yourself and your family.
  3. Lew, we had the same issue with our lawn tractor here at the cottage. Bad battery on a new tractor. Try disconnecting as suggested.
  4. Wayne, mere words cannot express the anguish and shock that I feel right now. I cannot imagine what you, Leah and the rest of your family are experiencing now. Jen was an inspiration to me through my battle with Lymphoma that continues to this day. I hope Jen is as comfortable as possible and her fight ends soon. This girl was inspiational to many. She walked up the steps of the CN tower without a hip for crying out loud!! My thoughts and prayers are with you. God only picks the most beautiful flowers for his garden. God Speed Jen.
  5. You're in the ballpark. Don't bring what you don't need on a given trip to save on weight which will dircetly correlate to better top speed and also fuel economy.
  6. El Skunkola today. We raised one but it was disinterested in our offerings. Still, a gorgeous day on the water. I will take it ant time.
  7. It has been far too long since I have fished for musky (a year and a half). I'm headed for Pigeon tomorrow morning. A buddy has a cottage by Gannon Narrows and that will be home base. He is going to share his spots and I'm sharing mine. Hopefully we tie into a couple and maybe a walleye or two for dinner....
  8. How old is the radio? Unfortunately, radios do not last that long in a marine environment with all the moisture. Thankfully, they are fairly cheap these days. A decent unit can be had for 150 bucks or so.
  9. Winner winner...Turkey dinner!!!
  10. Your bill of sale is the title. Your regustration papers are for the liscence # on the bow. Keep both in a waterproof container along with your insurance slip if you have insured your boat.
  11. Cliff, a decent 5th wheel and a diesel pickup to pull it. It won't cost you what an RV would and you can detach and explore when you are set up at a campsite. West Arm made some good points to consider. Good luck. I have always wanted a 3/4ton diesel pickup to pull our 30ft travel trailer across Canada as a dream vacation. One day when I grow up....
  12. More than 2 days, uh uh for fresh fish, it will not be good any more. Never mind the posession limits. Enjoy fresh fish daily and bring enough home for a feed or two and call itba great trip.
  13. Chin up and grind through one day at a time which is all we can do in our lives. Hopefully they get your eyes working decently again and since there is no heavy lifting, that means more fish in the lakes for the rest of us. Take 'er easy.
  14. A pot of boiling hot water also works well. Pour it down the hole and you kill the nasty buggers. No chemicals. I have had a couple of ground nests and thats how I dealt with them.
  15. Uglystik us great if you do not care too much about sensitivity. They are very durable thoygh so if you are rough on your gear,it would be a good option.
  16. Ouch!!! Epinephrine us your friend. Are you allergic or was it just that you got stung so many times? Shoulda smiled at them.
  17. You should not need to mess with jets. Now that the carbs were cleaned out nicely, run some more Seafoam through it. Do not rule out the fuel lines unless they were checked out properly. Do a search on iboats.com in the forums. There is a honda section. Onebof the gurus there may be able to steer you in the right direction. Once your carbs get drilled out, there is no going back.
  18. Nice!!!!
  19. Good riddance to them. I get a kick out of telling theur door to door salespeople to take a hike because of their lousy service. You are free of Ma Bell's clutches.
  20. Sorry for your loss. It took me 11 years to get another dog. No more pain, no more suffering. For your dog to show pain, he is really suffering.
  21. Great news Wayne!!! Good to hear that although it is hard on her, the new drug is kicking some butt in Jen's body.
  22. Don't mess around, for under twenty bucks, you will have the right ball for your hitch setup. A lit if force is exerted on them. Have the right one and do not worry.
  23. Congrats!!!
