  1. check previous thread "prop question" , may be some info that works for you there
  2. Niagara Glen/Whirlpool area, limited success but I love fishing there
  3. pm bayofquintecharters on this board. He rents cabins as well- West Lake Willows,
  4. Nice report. It's always a bonus to have a site with a table and a good landing. Glad you survived the bear spray leak and got some fish.
  5. Awesome looking dog
  6. RIP Farley , Lost in the Barrens was a book I enjoyed in school
  7. Nice that you could all get out together. Too bad about the planer board.
  8. Extreme is an understatement
  9. I have always thought of mountsberg as being 2 reservoirs divided by the railroad track. I've only fished north of the tracks. I assumed that the creek flowed back into the resevoir on the south side of the tracks. After having looked at a map I can see that it is 1 reservoir and that the creek flows away from it.
  10. I enjoy fishing mounts berg I hope it can remain decent in spite if this and the winter kill. How were the fish trapped below the dam? Would they not just go down the creek to the lower reservoir? Could they not have relocated the pike from the creek back into the upper reservoir? Hopefully the fish survive and thrive in Cootes.
  11. I'm assuming the guy didn't stiff you after all Some local options, not online but very good service, I bought parts from these places in the past week: Paul at klaus marine etobicoke, has some good after market options as we'll. Kim, I think was his name at Central Marine Markham Woman at Bay City Marine Hamilton
  12. Great looking boat and nice work on the rigging. Looking forward to future big water reports.
  13. Ann FYI for the Musky guys Mike Lazarus was on Musky Hunter this week. It may run again later in the week. I did not know who he was but after googling him I saw an old thread OFC thread about him. I gather he is very well respected in the Musky Community. I don't know anything about Musky fishing but I find Musky Hunter one of the better shows on WFN.
  14. TO islands, mountsberg, kelso, island lake, high park
  15. Aspects of the show are annoying and the poaching was lame but I like the fact that he fishes local everyday fishing spots. More realistic that a guy flying into a lake that see's zero pressure and catching a fish every cast. I have yet to see a show with Aaron Shirley I thought he was doing something with Italo.
  16. We just widened our s from single to double. It's 49ft long. THe quotes ranged from 2500 to 4600 for asphalt. Ended up paying $3000. Lot s of room for the boat and cars now should have done it sooner
  17. Thx for posting. AN interesting glimpse into the real North. You don't realize how massive those canoes are until you see a picture like the one at the end of report 2. Enjoyed seeing the pictures of your camps as well.
  18. Wow
  19. Nice report, its tough to to beat father and son bonding on a trout stream.
  20. Nicely done. Glad you and your buddy did well. Was it crowded? See any CO s?
  21. Congrats, good to hear. Saw lots of boats off there on the way to and from Buffalo.
  22. Nice report, glad the trip paid off for you
  23. Nice. How was the Pit Beef or is it too early for that?
  24. Lots of positive comments about orca s on spoonpullers
  25. Makes you wonder what the taxpayers in Barrie and Niagara on the Lake will be on the hook for when the new BP and Cabelas stores are completed.
