But yes I have noticed after a year or so if the bottle gas been opened it has turned cloudy ?? Not sure why (the red Canadian tire stabilizer) I only have used the red and marine stabil and find it lasts a lot longer before going off color, cloudy ?? It's hard to get reliable info as there is many different versions of what's ok to use and what's not ?? But for sure the gas today is all crap anyways unless you can find corn free gas and it's getting harder to find all the time ... Grrrr
-
Thanks for the link fisherman, and yes it's true ethanol or corn gas is garbage no doubt !!!! And I do like sinker does always add seafoam to my sleds my boats snowblower and all my gas engines and never had an issue with storage of fuel it also matteres about venting your tanks too if the tank can take air in it can absorb moisture and can be a nightmare !!!! If I have old gas I think is not good I don't use it and gas usually never sits around long enough for phase separation to happen !!!! I actually will be draining my sled of last winters gas and be discarding it and putting fresh new gas in !!!! $30 worth of gas or a $2,000 repair bill ???? Hmmmm I always throw the gas out to be safe !!!!!

Take care rob !!! So sorry to hear the news and hope time heals again my best wishes to you and your wife and your family ..

I have had a Johnny Morris baitcast reel and I got it the first year bass pro in Toronto opened and I have put hundreds of hours on it and has been in my bass arsenal since and had been awesome till about 3 weeks ago when the reel basically started to release on its own and had trouble engaging the spool !!!!! So I guess I got a good one as its been flawless till now !!! Yes it's a lot heavier than my curados. And my chronarchs but it's done the job for years and all I have ever done is oil it and clean it and that's all !!!! Would I buy another one no I would not as it's not as light as my other ones but it sure doesn't owe me any money and I really think it's a simple fix and will attempt to get it fixed over the winter and if so I will use it as a secondary reel from now on and replace it with another shimano of course !!!!! Maybe adding a front mount trolling motor
fishindevil replied to davey buoy's topic in General Discussion
On my Lund a 48" shaft would have been perfect but I went with 54" and I can fish in big waves and wind as the motor is still quite a ways into the water !!!! So always go a bit bigger and you will not have a problem with the prop Comming out of the water !!!! And davey if you are always fishing the leeside of the wind you are missing out on lots of fish and a lot of times the best fishing in the lake !!!! Always always fish the windward side .... Just sayin.... -
2 weeks ago while smallmouth bass fishing my buddy and myself caught 4 pike and they were waiting in ambush spots along drop offs and on the outside edges of the last remaining weeds at the drop offs !!!!! And 1 of those was very near the inflowing current if there is any where you are fishing try those spots !! But you said ponds so not sure but give it a shot if there's any drop off spots.

there was a release I mentioned this in a post about a month ago and at the time it was 21 charges in total and they had officers from several areas involved and most were undercover as well !!! I hope they keep it up and go undercover at the Kawartha lakes area dams !!!! I report crap I see quite often and don't really ever see or hear any results either

Results from our 2013 Lake Ereie Perch Tournament
fishindevil replied to SLA's topic in General Discussion
Nice !!!! Sounds like it was a blast !! And some real big perch too !!!! Thanks for sharing !!!! Soooo what time is the massive perch fry ?? Lol -
Now if they could only start blitzing the white bucket brigade on all the dams it would be awesome !!!! Here is some evidence I sent them about a month ago from buckhorn dam about a dozen bass in a bucket all about 12 inches long

This is the first year I have not been stopped in my life !!!! So far this year I have fished 15 different lakes and spent hundreds of hours on the water !!! But in other years I have been stopped many times in a season by both the opp and the MNR !!!! But they are there and doing what they can with the manpower they have !!! We need more of them for sure !!! They could hire a few to just patrol the dams in FMZ 17 and it would pay for all the new officers in no time at all !! It's a joke really .....

Almost all put smallies were deeper than 20ft and most came at 25-30ft !!!! And that's why I caught 3 accidental lakers too !!!! Deep flats were the ticket !!!!!
-
My buddy and myself went up to lake of bays Saturday and fished there for smallies and then fished lake Joseph on Sunday as well !!!! It was cold and almost rained all weekend long and the wind was strong as well and they are big lakes and blow up pretty good, but we got some very decent smallies as well I got 3 lake trout too !!! All fish were on the dropshot and the smallies wanted it very slow for sure !!!! Here is a few pics of the fish and some scenery as well !!!! Tight-lines.

The new chronarch ci4 is out now and it's totally comparable to a core !!!! It amazing and super light ... Casts a mile too .... The lefties are now available !!!! The reviews are all amazing ... I have one waiting for me with my name on it !!!!
-
Manns stretch 20 reef runner 800 series as well as rapala dive toos !!!! And the yozuri crystal minnows as well as the power dive minnows and hot lips minnows !!!!! Some bomber long A and some deep diving husky jerks !!! That's all you need !!!!! And mike most of the eyes are suspended chasing schools of bait .... And are roamers !!! The offshore in-line boards are also a nessesity for getting your lures out and away from the boat !!!!! The fish can and do get a little spooky in the clear water plus the increased boat traffic can force the fish deeper plus further down the reach !!!!! Your dive curves for the baits are important as well another great thing is leadcore 3-5colors !!!! Tight-lines.
