ya for sure I have about 400miles according to my gps this year alone and I don't even check mileage on my gas !!!! Just fill her up and go !!!!! It's a Yamaha man !!!! Not gonna be any issues with it !!! As water warms and cools it will java a difference as well as the lousy corn gas and wind !!!! It will all have a different effect on mileage !!!! Just use it and have fun and check the oil and add grease to the fittings and add some fuel stabilizer and you are good to go !!!! Don't need to be fussing with all that other stuff !!!! !!! Lol haha

I believe there is bomanville steelhead members on this site so they would know I was just passing the info on I seen on Facebook as I know Pete seto so I thought it was a good thing to pass on to our great bunch of people here !!! I hope they keep lifting there's a ton of fish there

The fish ladder is there and been in place for many years !!!! For some reason it's not in service and needs repairs !!!! So they are doing it manually like sinker said !! And yes it's at the old good-year dam just a mile south of hwy 2 in bommanville can't miss the place !!!!

Pete says they will mark the 10k fish they have lifted tonight !!! Just passing on info --- tight-lines. It's quite a site to see for sure !!!!

There is also the launch at Glenora right where the ferry crosses as well as McFarland conservation area and there is pryners east of pic ton as well and you can launch also over by bath !! Now listen closely !!!! The water level is down big time and most of the ramps have big drops at the end and guys are hanging up their trailers !!! Be careful !!!! I have crossed on the ferry many times and launched right there for years but depending on what direction the wind is Comming that can be an unpleasant place too !!!!! Or you can launch in deseronto and make the run down long reach !!!! Have you ever been to the BOQ before as it can get nasty in the fall down there quickly ?? If you need any more info you can shoot me a pm !!!!

Awesome Lew !!!! I have seen 2 in the last 5 yrs one was snowmobiling near apsley and one up near limerick lake just south of Bancroft !!! My buddy who lives up there is about 10miles from the original release site when they first brought them here !!!! He sees them all the time and had some great pics of them too !!!!! He has told me stories of when the MNR first starting Comming around to landowners and asking them about release sites he was one of them !!!! And they were worried about poachers back then and wanted landowners to be hush hush about them being there for a few years and wanted the owners to keep logbooks and sighting records !!! Pretty cool now they are established and doing great !!!! What a big majestic animal for sure !!!! And you are right about how big they actually are !!!! A lot bigger than a whitetail deer for sure !!! Both the elk I seen were males too with big racks !!! And the one was about 20feet off the side of the highway I thought it was a moose at first !!!! Awesome!!!! Glad to see they are in our area of the kawarthas !!!! There was one sighted in gooderham in the spring too and that's only 20mins north of me !!!! Cool maybe I will see another one this winter on my sled !!!!

I got mine at TSC and I also got the fish pot too !!!! Awesome about 2 yrs ago !!! $70 I think and that was both pots !!!! Used it lots of times works great !!!!!

Oh man that would not be good would it !!!! Hmmmm ....especially if it was a newer gun ??? If it was an old antique gun maybe different but if it was a new gun I would be concerned for sure !!!!!

Well Bernie timiskeming tourney was sept 28 & 29 so maybe the second one is a club tourney ???? Maybe north bay bassmasters??? I'm still checking some can be a pro-am or a qualifier it's hard to keep up with all them !!! Like here in the kawarthas it's just insane how many tourneys there are !!!! From bass opener till October there can be 2 even 3 going on at the same time not to mention all the private ones like trailer parks and local fire departments and fundraising and charitable tourneys !!!!! Way way way too many IMO !!!!!

From the info I can gather Bernie it seems it was the temiskiming smallmouth bass classic !!! Hosted by hunters bay marine !!!! A and the other was probly a local clubbie as they call them meaning just the local bass club !!!!

When you are a multi species fisherman like myself it's alwAys game on !!!!! And when the boat gets put away its sledding time !!!! I know some bass tourney guys that only fish from June bass opener till Labor Day weekend !!!!! They miss so much fishing and only target bass !!!!! Well there is definetly a difference between NPS and real pro staff that's for sure !!!! And for the real pro staff guys it's full of commitments and appearances as well as educating and teaching techniques and product development !! Not just about "getting free stuff" yes they get perks for sure but it's not just about that alone,you get to meet all the people in the industry as well as making important contacts and meeting lots of other fishermen get to see all the new product long before anyone else as well as use it too !!!! And it's like anything else right you will get Out if it what you put into it !!!!!
