Well as usual our members are right on the money, and all of them gave you excellent advice, and tips you will make out just fine, and just one last thing to remember, please dont leave any garbage or used fishing line at the launch sites i always end up taking other peoples garbage and crap like coffee cups and stuff,if you follow all the steps that everyone gave you ,well you are ready to go,and have fun with your new boat and enjoy....cheers -

Yes there is sure alot of information there,i hope this VHS does not devistate fish stocks as this will have a huge impact on the local economies of fishing areas and towns....i hope they stop this or at the very least figure something out like how to treat the waters that are affected....

well it would create jobs, and help the community but yes there is the political aspect of it ,as well but like you guys said you would have to get lots more info and an environment assesment and all that stuff,so im sure it will take along time to do all that crap,so i wouldnt worry quite yet, lets see what happens first...cheers

thats amazing ,i have also heard reports of killer whales following salmon fishing charter boats out in british columbia, they seen to know that these boats catch salmon which is very high on their menu, and will wait till a fish is hooked and try to do the same as in that video,....pretty cool.....cheers
-
well it looks like everyone has the basics covered, one other very important thing to consider is the type of rod or rods that you are nusing as well as line ,and that is very crucial you need a good quality rod for jigging with a real sensitive tip,for those real light bitters,as well as good line for walleyes usually 6lb,you can use fireline or a flourocarbon, for clear water, and trust me it DOES MATTER AND WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCES....so it looks like you are ready to spend some bucks,at cabelas,so let us know how you made out and what you purchased ...good luck cheers
-
Well done scott....great looking silver bullets you caught there.....cheers
-
WOW.. ..i dont think that you would have a problem taking your 4x4 out on that lake/river.... .

That was a very interesting documentary, thats for sure, hey its like they say there is always 2 sides to a story, and they sure do have some valid sources and credibility, well its just another view on global warming, and the question still remains is the planet warming is it true or not????????cheers
-
yes thats great news . ...the fishing for the month of april is some of the best fishing all year, its not uncommon to get 25 fish in a weekend,we have had lots of fun down there at and around the welland canal and jordan harbour....i sure hope to be there in a few weeks....thanks for the report cheers

THEY WORK AMAZINGLY WELL,. ...if you are going to do alot of drifting for walleyes depending how big your boat is ,you might need 2 of them one tied at the bow and 1 at the stern to keep your boat drifting evenly,or when you are trolling for walleyes you can deploy one out either side and that will keep even presure on both sides of the boat and will keep you steering straight, they generally are easy to use,and some models have an adjusting rope at the end of the bag so you can determine how much water is going through them ,and also makes it easy to bring them into the boat, you just grab the rope and turn the bag inside out and it comes in so easy, some of the new bags have a floating bouy on them to keep the strap and the bag near the surface so it wont sink to deep,or go under the boat....every serious walleye fisherman has one and some days when its blowing big time ,and the fish are not bitting or you are going to fast it is the only way to get them because the bags will slow you right down .....go get 2 you wont regret it....cheers

Way to go. ...they are such tasty and scrappy little fish,i love getting about a dozen for an awsome fish-fry...thanks for the report,as i see there is still lots of ice where you are, well with the forecasted temps for the next few days it wont be around very much longer....cheers
