  6. YES thats for sure those carp jump up to 4ft in the air at the slightes of noise or being scared there have already been serious injurys in the states from fish hitting people in the face, and yes brian if one hit you in your bass boat doing 50 mph. in the face you would be hurt bad...ive seen several docs on these fish and right now they are 15miles from the chicago shipping canal where they have an electric barrier...if they get through it they have a free passage to lake michigan,we are going to be in big trouble....they decimate everyother species of fish in certain rivers where they had walleyes and bass and pike...they are all gone...some counts have them at 10,000 carp for a square kilometer... it will be the worst disaster the lakes have ever seen...it will they say cost billions...there will be no fishery on the great lakes...oh and they can thrive in cold water and will live through a canadian winter no problem....WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE......WE SHOULD BE ACTING ON THIS RIGHT NOW...THEY SAID EVEN ZEBRA MUSCLES WILL BE NOTHING COMPARED WITH THESE ASIAN CARP....IN 10YRS WE WILL NOT HAVE ANYTHING LEFT TO FISH FOR....WE ARE DOOMED ACCORDING TO THE FISHERIES AND OCEANS...THE US MINISTRY OR THE ENVIRONMENT SAYS IT TO...
  7. Well i pretty much only use line with co-polymer,thats if im bottom bouncing becuase it will stand up to more abraison on all the rocks and zebra muscles but for spinning i like trilene or spiderwire mono...the good stuff not the canadian tire spiderwire for 10 bucks a spool....i use several different lines depending what species im fishing for and i use flouro as well p-line works too....cheers
  8. well i sure hope it goes soon, there is alot of guys just ready to hit open water i am one of them...bring it on....cheers

  11. This is a very interesting thread,i would like to see more tourneys for smaller boats like 50hp and under there is definatley enough people with small boats to get the required field, and it could travel to different areas of the province that way those people with small boats and a small buget would be able to fish them or tourneys with an adult and a kid under 16or even just husband and wife/girlfreinds...it would be fun and would definatley get the word out...it could be done...i guess its like everything else it just needs to be organized...cheers
  12. Thats a nice fishing shopping spree. ..well done you sure have lots of new goodies, bet you cant wait to use them...lol...cheers
  13. Well joey you sure have some great i deas, and so little time..lol..lol just make sure you feed the racoons when you leave....our landlord is very simular, and he sure doesnt get any respect from us either ....so hold out as long as you can by delaying the process, and at the last minute say you misplaced the key,and start all over again...anyways good-luck with your problem...and just think soon all that will be just a memory, and you will be in your new place and your mind will be free of all that crap from your landlord....cheers

  17. Well as bad as it is its the sponsors that pay for it all. ..look at nascar. ...thats insane.....but yes its overkill for sure but, thats part of the job i guess, and the pros get lots of free goodies from all of this too,so trust me they dont mind saying their sponsors names 50 times during their shows....cheers
  18. Hi chuck, maybe you should try lake nipissing or the french river area,or around the georgian bay area sept,is also a great time for smallies and muskys, and there is walleyes there to. its a real pretty area with lots of wildlife too, there is also the haliburton area to,there is alot of members here that know those areas perfectly.so those places have lots of loges and camps and they are all on the internet too...the possibilities are endless just pick the are you might want to be in and everyone here can give you lots of info,to get you to a great fishing spot. ..good luck ....cheers

  21. Rapala & normark [normark is in oshawa] have always been good to their customers ,i live in oshawa and have even been to normark where they replace my bent fillet knife, with no problems, even the reps for rapala will tell you the same thing that they will almost always fix the problem for you ...there are a great company and make really cool stuff glad to hear they came through again....cheers

  23. Yes wayne you got that one right....i had a big swan take a run at me while i was bass fishing and he did attack my boat.. ...and man was he ticked at me ...i guess i was near his nest or something he was flapping his wings circling my boat and hissing and squacking so loud,it scared the crap out of me...i thought he had rabis or something....i was about 12yrs old...so yes i am still traumatized by that and thats why i need pills to go to sleep at night...lol..lol
  24. Well thats an interesting read,i think it all boils down to common sense anyone who would go out in the middle of a large lake in a float tube is a dumb *ss and you should always wear a life jacket, and you should always be careful around creeks/rivers while wearing waders even if its not too deep, and i have heard of people drowning while they were wearing waders about 15yrs ago at the wilmot creek on opening day around the 4th concesion a elderly man fell in wearing chest waders and they think he had a heart attack, but witnesses say he couldnt get out of the deep pool he fell in because he was wearing his waders so it does happen we were camping just a little ways upsteam from this and we were all shocked about what had happened. so everyone take care and use common sense please....cheers
