Any one ever catch that LUNKERVILLE fishing show?
tizfun replied to Mr Twister's topic in General Discussion
I for one, enjoy the show. It's everyday people, real fishing with boats most can afford. This show tells it like it is and it's nice to see local areas being fished... Not like others where they hide the locations. If you don't like the show, change the channel... IT'S THAT EASY !!! ... That's why we have so many channels on TV's.. One for everybody's liking... Enjoy the show. Looking forward to many more seasons.. Tiz -
Was out on Pigeon Lake today from 6:30am to 3:30pm.. 3 small walleyes and alot of wind..... Tiz

We launch out of Village Marina.. Follow the Honey Harbour road as it winds around the Delawanna Inn.. It'll be on your right side just before the road ends... As soon as you drive in the dirt driveway, you'll see boats parked on your right side (sort of in the marsh).. These are the locals.. Keep going (300 feet) till you get to the house or marina shop.. You'll see the ramp there... Launch and then park your vehicle & trailer back towards the entrance... You'll see where the other ones are parked.. $15.00-$18.00 to launch and park.. (depends what mood they're in) They're by far the cheapest in Honey Harbour... I know, launched at another marina early and parked.. Got back and they asked for $50.00.. Told them they were nuts. Offered them $15.00 and got in my truck and left... Never went back there... A soon as you get out of the marina channel... stop and start casting... alot of Pike and Bass in this bay.. Hope I helped you out... Good luck.... Tiz

Hey all, Heading to a new lake ( for me ) Cordova Lake.. Any help on where to launch and what kind of fish are there ?? My cousin called me up and someone told him that this is a good lake for Walleye.. I told him I would look into it with the OFC board members and get back to him.. Not sure about this lake.. Just don't want to drive up, get there and be totally blind.. Any help & tips would be greatly appreciated... Tiz

I wouldn't even consider a boat here when the prices are far better in the US along with the selection.. Forget about the taxes, you'll have to pay those here too.. I drove to Wisconnsin there and back 2200 kms in round trip with 4 hrs of sleep.. There's a few on Ebay I'm looking at now and a couple on another site as well.. I bought my Princecraft Pro 167 for $3800.00 and used it here for 6 months and sold it for $9800.00. All the upgrades and gas, basically everything I did to it, I still managed to make a profit of $3700.00.. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.. My wife keeps telling me to make a business out of it, buying & sellling a couple boats a month for the summer.. Who knows, it may happen... Before the changes...the day I brought it home.. After a few changes and upgrades..

Very interesting to know... I used to bring bass & pike home in the livewell just to show my girls when they were younger.. The fish would survive the trip home and they girls were thrilled to see a live fish daddy had caught.. So, my question ?? By me transporting these fish home in my livewell, was I breaking the law ?? Damn, if I was, it really never occured to me and it seemed like no big deal... Tiz

We just got a pail from a friend of ours who was at the east side of the lake.. They did fairly well, 16 pails from what they said.. This is NO BULL as cousins I've talked to also got pails and 1/2 pails.. All I know is that they were at a friends cottage and they had to wade our into 3 feet of water from his dock.. They even got 2 walleyes in their nets.. not sure if they put them back.. Hope so !!!! Funny thing is they will not disclose where they are and the people that have gone with won't tell.. I've tried asking, but their lips are sealed.. It's fine with me as I'm in for a few feeds of smelts... Some reserved for my folks and in-laws.. Everyone's Happy !!!!!! Tiz

Thinking of heading into Port Severn this weekend for some Pike.. 2 Cousins will be in town, one from Arizona and the other from Michigan.. We will launch from Muskies Bay Resort (just off highway 69) and head out from there.. Now, my question is. Should we look for shallow weedy back bays or do you think they will be out into some deeper water ?? Thinking of using some dead baits or live sucker minnows, not sure ?? Casting will be the norm, but I was thinking (bait) as I want to get these guys on at least one fish.. Has anyone fished this area on opening weekend or there abouts ?? I've been here before, but not until late summer.. Any tips would be of great help and very appreciated.. Tiz

Yes it was a good day and I had released the smallest and the biggest one without any problems.. I understand it's not the correct way of holding a fish, but ( the big one ) I was on my own and trying set the timer on my camera and get a pic... He was in the water and swam away like a champ.. Tiz

Well you guys have been a great help... I went back and looked the first plug nearest the fan.. This one, when putting the boot back on gave me some trouble getting back on as there are wiring harnesses in the way.. I took it off and put it back on so it sealed properly.. Secured the bolt back on which hold the boot and started it up... Can you believe it.. smooth running... Took it out for a spin and no hesitation and when stepping on the gas, it moved really nice.. I went out this evening and took a drive on the Hwy 401 doing a 120-130 kms.... No more bucking and it drove really well... Thanks to all of you for all your help... I've been in jams many a times and when looking for help and tips, I know to come here as you all are very helpful... I appreciate all the advice and help.. Tiz

It's a 2003 .... There is no distributor cap.. There are no wires... Each plug has it's own wire for each cylinder... there's no way to mix them up as I changed one at a time... Tiz

Got the correct plugs too Part # 41-103... Straight from the dealer... Tiz

This is the newer Trailblazer with the 4.2 ltr.. The plugs are located just underneath the airbox... I loosened the screws to remove the plug cover and put it back in place... Seemed like a simple job, but I created a mess... Tiz

Help !!!! Hey everyone... You all remember my tranny went a few weeks ago. Got that fixed.. while I was there they had my truck on the scanner and told me my #1 cylinder was misfiring.. They asked me how long since I changeD my plugs with 280,000 kms and I told them I hadn't yet.. So off I go and get me some AC DELCO plugs and attempt to change them myself.. no problem, all went out/in and when I started up the truck, the service engine light came on.. I went to take it out for a spin and it shakes alot when you get moving.. Once up to speed, it goes away... Any mechanics out there that can PLEASE send some advice my way.. I'm about to put the old ones back in... Tiz

Ares.. I use it all the time... Great and easy to work with... Tiz

I ran a Yamaha 4hp 4 Stroke on the back of my Princecraft 167 with a 90 Yamaha.. It worked perfect.... Transom was wide enough.. I really miss her.. TIZ -
Best so far is $42.90 won last week on Lottario... I play them every week with a couple scratch tickets to boot and nothing.. I'll keep going at it.. As for Casino winnings, I've done extremely well on slots over the past couple years.. Lucky and that's it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiz
