  1. Hey all, was just at Canadian Tire picking up some Stabill when I noticed a can of Seafoam right above it... I've used Stabill in my tank every time but have never used Seafoam.. I've heard so much about Seafoam but never saw any to buy... I read what's on the can and how it cleans and does a whole lot more than just stabilize your gas... prices were comparable too.. So I bought neither and came on here to ask which is better ? I trust the people on here as you're helped me on oh so many questions I've had... Thanks in advance.... Tizz
  2. Thanks (Old Man).. I was told that the kerosene sold at these places isn't distilled... If it is, then I'm good to go.... Tiz
  3. Hey everyone.. Was hoping someone could shed some light as to where I can get my hands on some Distilled Kerosene close to home.. (Whitby) I've never really heard of this but they tell me it's out there...and willing to drive to get it... Thanks in advance, Tiz
  4. Thanks Drifter.... They are the cheaper.. Napa batteries....Cranking battery is completely closed... 2 deep cycle have the rectangular caps exposing 3 cells when I pop them off.. looks like water in there... Thank you so much.... back out to the garage to get it up and running....
  5. Well, it's been a while since I've posted, but I still look on just about every day.. I've come across a little problem that I was hoping someone on here could clarify for me... I just purchased a 3 bank battery charger from Canadian Tire. (it was on sale ) as my 2 bank pooched a couple weeks ago.. Install seemed easy enough but now to program the charger for each battery, it's asking what type do I have ?? AGM, GEL or Flooded Type ???? I don't see anything on the batteries ? Cranking battery and 2 deep cycle.... They are all maintenance free is all I know.... These were in the boat when I bought it so I'm kinda stuck... Will the charger work differently if I have the wrong battery type programmed in there ????? Any help will be gladly appreciated ?? Thanks Tiz
  6. Wow....Awesome fish !!!!! Truely enjoyed the video...Looks like a great time. Thanks for sharing..
  7. Ok. let's set something clear... My post wasn't put on here to rub anyone's nose in it. We've had a very successful 2 outings in November and 4 miserable outings in October. Yeah, live bait works well for us. We trolled for skis many times, but seem to have more luck catching while jigging for walleye.. As for not seeing the ski, When you fish with 6 lb mono, wasn't about to start hauling on it. John, feel free to share your technique ???? Captpierre.... if I offended you in any way, my sincere appologies... Rich.... You need more friggin coffee.. John.... Still waiting.. Tiz Jigging for Walleye....
  8. We were out on Saturday.. Beautiful day.. Caught about 30 or so walleyes.. Only 4 were in the slot.. most under but managed 2 over the slot.. Latched on to a ski.. fought hard for about 15 mins, never did see it, but a thrill just getting the hit.. This has to be the best year for walleyes and ski's.. Tiz
  9. Yes.... I would only buy in the States....Sorry.. not to offend our Canadians.. This is the second boat from the USA...
  10. Hey all, It's been a while since I've posted on here or asked for advice. If ever I've needed fix for repair questions answered, this board always came through for me. The past 5 years hasn't been so good for me and I'm finally getting myself back on my feet. It's been a rough ride. So I decided to give myself a treat and decided to get back into boating/fishing again. I've just purchased a Stratos 217f powered with a Evinrude 115 Intruder. The boat is fully loaded. It comes with a Minn Kota Terrova 80lb with i-pilot ,Lowrance LCX-28C on the console, X102C up front, a Lowrance flasher in the Dash.. Onboard 3 bank charger and Raker SST prop. I'm heading down first week in November to pick it up... Can't wait Has anyone ever had one of these boats or fished out of one ? Let me know your thoughts. Tiz
  11. Thanks for the tips and things to watch out for .. Will be US bound to bring it home.... Thanks, Tiz
  12. Hey all, It's been a while since I've posted and every time I do, you all are willing to help me out.. Well, here's the scoop.. Money is tight !! Since my divorce took away my last boat, I'm now in the market at a used (new to me) again.. I'm looking at a couple and are powered by either motor 1996 150 hp Fast Strike and the other with a 1997 175 hp Intruder. What are your opinions on these motors ?? Would or have you owned one before ?? I know the 1998 Fitch and the Opitmax in this year are not good, so any comments and advice would be appreciated.. Thanks, Tiz
  13. Buy nothing here (in Canada) that is !!! You can buy a very good boat for that money in the USA... It will not be new or newer models but mid to late 90's forsure.... Tiz
  14. We started out day in Telegraph Narrows. Spent about 5 hours with nothing.. Didn't see anyone catching at all. Boated down to Shermans Point, a boatload of boats here and didn't see any action here either.. Fished here for about an hour and left deeper into Hay Bay.. At 3:00pm the fishing began, one fish after another for the next hour or so.. We managed 17 walleye and 3 sheephead.. Biggest 2 were around 22 inches and the rest all between 13-17 inches... Kept 4 for dinner and then made our way back to the launch.. So after 7 hours of nothing we got lucky the next 2... So glad we made the moves.. Tiz
  15. A pic of his him and his new wife of one year...
  16. Ah well.. All that gettin ready and anticipation will wait for another week.. Who knew there were 5 Sat's in April.. My bad.. Tiz
  17. Ok, I'm sitting here waiting it out for another week. Decide to go for a drive to have a look at the stream. I'm talking out in Oshawa here. Small creek runs between Thorton St and Simcoe St.. Anyway, as I get there there are about 8-10 cars parked and everyone going nuts on fishing. Asked one guy and he's already got 2 bows in hand.. Like ... seriously ?? Am I wrong, did I miss the boat here. I just looked at the regs Zone 17 and it say's( last Sat of April ) . You gotta see this place.. fish are gone now.. So pissed.... Tiz
  18. Thanks Guys. I'm going to have someone look at it Monday morning, talk about frustration. Tiz
  19. Hey all, It's been a while since I've been on here but here I am hoping someone can help me figure this out. My Xterra has the 7 pin trailer connector and I'm hooking up my 4 pin trailer. I have everything in place, but I'm not getting any left brake or left turn signal.. Everything else works great. I've tried it with my dads truck who has just a 4 pin connector and all the lights work normally.. So I'm thinking it has to be my truck.. but where ?? This is a direct install from Nissan wiring and all. So where can I look and start to test.. Any help would be very very appreciated. Thanks, Tiz
  20. Taking my daughter fishing tomorrow.. So looking forward to it..

  21. My condolences to you and your family. Tiz
  22. Congrats... Very nice looking boat... Tiz
  23. Thank you for all the support. It's been a tough few days that will be etched in my mind forever. Yesterday was the burial and oh man, something I really don't want to go through or see again.. This death was so avoidable and I guess the decision they made not to bring jackets on board, cost them and their families for the rest of their lives.. His best friend, the one with him that survived was all over the (open casket) saying I'm sorry. Just complete sorrow and devistation to both families as they were the best of friends.. Here's some info I got... When they were gonna head out in the canoe (different lake, not the one their cottage is on) his buddy said he couldn't find the lifejackets and said he was gonna call his dad to ask where they were. (Family Friend) says, "don't worry, were not going out far and besides they'll get angry that we're taking the canoe else where to fish, let's just go.." So off they went, just with 2 paddles. So no phone call was made even though his buddy(survivor) wanted to make the call. Take care all. and thanks again.. Tiz
