  1. Also, when I totally remove these 2 wires from the boat switch and connect them to the timer, it works fine... Still want the same set-up as you've got skeeter99.. I want to flip the boat switch and then turn the timer on so it will work.... Tiz
  2. Hey Skeeter99, Thanks for the help.. My timer does have 3 prongs, output, power, ground.. I took the power from the switch (orange)and connected it to the power on the timer..Then connected the output from the timer to the other prong on the switch(brown).. and ran the ground wire.. The pump comes on when I flip the boat switch but the timer is in the off position.. It seems like the timer isn't even there.. Still working on this, wifes a little upset since I've been out there all day... Tiz
  3. Thanks for the reply WKRP.... Is there no way of using the existing switch ??? Still in the garage working on it.. Read up on the net that I may have to add another power line to the timer or a ground.. Getting tired... Here's the scoop... My Princecraft has the panel with all the switches with the fuses below them.. The livewell switch has 3 points.. Top is black wire, middle is orange and bottom has brown wire.. Power wire come's from the fuses which are all connected in series ?? Make sense ?? Anyone else have any suggestions..
  4. Hey Everyone, Home to today as neither of my fishing buds had any spare time to wet the lines today.. So I thought I'd head over to BPS to browse... NOT !!!!! Picked up a livewell timer and a few other things.. $146.00 later..... Now, the intructions say it easy installation, I must be an idiot, I've been at it for an 2 hours and still can't figure it out.. So here I am, pleading for some help.. My boat has the livewell switch with a fuse on the console.. The timer itself has 3 wires, output/power/ground... How can I hook this up with the set-up I have now.. I tried a few times and the timer runs all the time.. I looked it up on the net and still the same thing.. I want the original swtich on the boat to work along with this timer.. Or do I have to eliminate the switch and only go with the timer ??? I'm so confused !!!!!!!!!!!!! Please Help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiz
  5. Hey Everyone, Heading out on Thursday and I haven't been in this area for over 10 years.. Does anyone have any info on launches and where to start.. I've been looking for some sort of map to help me out, but can't find any.. I remember a site that had a general map of the harbour but can't remember it's name... Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Tiz
  6. I was out on the Pier tonight and only saw one fish spool a guy and a few jumping .. As for myself, I managed a 951 Lbs 3 seater Seadoo with a couple on it.. I was casting the mouth of the pier when I made one cast and with the wind against me, the cast went a little higher than I anticipated.. Just at that moment, this guy comes whipping through and I look and think start reeling like a you know what ?? Too late, braided line went up over the Seadoo, hit the guy in the face and my drag it was just a screaming.. I really don't know how my Cleo didn't hook either of them.. (Made me very nervous) They guy turned around and called me everything in the book and that's when a guy fishing behind me let him have a few words on racing through the mouth.. Nice to have a couple of good vocal cords on my side and to those guys there tonight, I THANK YOU !! So this is how my first time at the Bronte Pier went, I'll be back soon.. (maybe) Tiz

  8. Hi there everyone.. My cousin and I hit Honey Harbour today and then hit Couch for a full day of fishing.. Caught some nice bass and a walleye (will post pics shortly).. On our way out to Couch I tried to trim the motor up on full tilt and it wouldn't go.. I'm running a 90 hp Yamaha... The trim/tilt works fine from the switch on the motor and from the switch on the bow, but from the shifter, it won't trim up at all.. It work trimming it down.. Any one have any idea of what is wrong before I have to spend some cash on fixing it.. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.. Tiz
  9. Had the same problem with my 35 hp Johnson.. Trolled fine, started up perfect, hit the throttle to get her going, after a couple of seconds, she would bog.. Mechanic found it to be a loose wire on my starter.. I didn't believe it but it was it.. Tightened it up and it was gone.. Tiz

  12. I just brought my Princecraft over last month and it was no problems for me.. I brought it back from Wisconsin and in that state, their title is all one.. (boat /motor/trailer).. Make sure you have a bill of sale for the boat/motor and another one for the trailer.. If it's 15 years or newer you have to pay a fee of $200.00 (+-) to bring it across.. Then you'll pay the PST/GST on the boat/motor.. They will explain what to expect in the mail and once this arrives, you take your trailer to Canadian Tire for a safety (another $200.00) and then get the paperwork done to get proper registration for the boat here.. PM me if you need more advice.. Tiz

  22. Hey everyone, I need some help quick.. We're heading out fishing tomorrow no matter what, it's just we're a little stumped on where to go.. My fishing partner wants to target walleye in the Kawarthas (I don't know this area) and I suggested we fish Port Severn or Sparrow Lake for some Pike and maybe a Walleye.. Wind is supposed to be in the 30 km range for the GB area tomorrow.. So we figured to stick to sheltered bays.. Anyone ever fish Clear Lake (Young's Point ) area for Walleye??? I've heard the dam there is a hot spot at night.. Any help PLEASE !!!! Tiz
  23. What a bone head I am.. Tested all the wiring from the front of the boat to the rear.. No power.. Followed the power wire (purple) which lead to the battery.. Tested it and still no power.. Took the fuse holder apart and replaced the fuse..Nothing again... As I was putting the fuse in, I noticed that one of the wires was very limp and upon further inspection, the wire was broken and was only holding onto the fuse holder by the plastic around the wire.. Replaced it with a new fuse holder and BAM !!!!!!!! It worked... Tiz I'm ready for the water......
  24. Hey Fisherman... It's just an opinion ..... Sorry to ruffle any feathers.. Tiz
  25. I personally don't believe in them.. If you've got troubles getting up on plane, then you're boat is under powered.. Just my opinion ... Tiz
