Yes, I remember that show too.. It was held at the old location of the Pickering Flea market, now Sam's Club off of Brock Road... They used to be great shows.. My guess it's the same one on now at the International Ctr which is a load of garbage... Tiz

I just got back for the show and to be honest, it wasn't worth the $12.00 admin fee.. Over priced tackle and if it wasn't for all the guest speaker, What else was there... I looked at the couple lures for ice fishing and thought I would check out BPS on my way back home.. Lures at the show were $6.99 and at BPS they were $4.85.. Like I said, over priced garbage.... Last years show was much better than this one.. Just my observation Tiz

Well it's all done.. 3rd & 4th gear replaced, new torque converter, seals and all.. $2367.40 taxes in... Now it's looks like I'm keeping it till she drops.. Tiz

WEll here's the scoop from Mr. Transmission.. It is the worst case senario.. They tell me my 3rd & 4th gears are shot and that the torque converter needs replacing.. The torgue converter isn't bad, they recommend to change it due to the contamination of the old fluid will ruin the new tranny.. Is this correct?? It's $400.00 that I can save by not replacing it.. Any ideas ??? Tiz

Well took it into Mr. Transmission this morning and they're taking it apart as I type.. It was slipping in/out of 3rd gear.. They said it the it would be around the minimum of $1000.00 and up to $2200.00 for a complete transmission... This truck has been a total nightmare from the day of purchase.. ( my wife kept saying not to buy it ) Anything and Everything has gone wrong with this.. This tranny problem will boost my repair bills since 2004 to well over $12,000.00.. And they want me to buy another GM product... Am I nuts !!!!!!!!!! Any body wanna buy a truck ??? Tiz

Hey Everyone, On my way home yesterday from Ahmic Lake my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer with 278,000 kms seemed to be slipping out of gear.. When I step on the gas to get it going from a stand still, it makes a tinny noise and sometimes the RPM's would kick up like if you were passing but I wasn't stepping on the gas anymore that usual.. It still seems to drive normal but the noise is still there ( when you step on the gas).. I noticed it more on the hwy in overdrive, that it would kick down a gear and then back (over and over) up at a constant speed of 100kms.. Any idea of what's going on.. I really don't need this right now... Tiz

Hey all, I've just been invited to spend the weekend doing a little ice fishing on Ahmic Lake.. I know there are Pike and Walleye in there and I've heard of them being caught before.. Is there anything I can do or anywhere I should be to make myself look better than the regulars that are heading up.. Just some tips on what to use and a hint on what to look for in structure... Hey Everyone, I'm in need of some help on my Craftsman 7.5 hp snowblower. It starts up fine with the choke on and when I let it warm up and reduce the choke.. It stalls .. Start her up again and same thing.. Tried to start it up without the choke (Being warmed up already) and it won't start.. I also just noticed that the auger blade doesn't spin as fast as it used too.. It was spinning real slow and not enough to throw the snow out the chute.. This is a fairly new machine, maybe 5 years old and I've never had a problem before.... Need to get this fixed as last time it snowed, I did it by hand..... Not again.... Any help & advice would be appreciated.. Tiz

Congrats to an excellent video... Brought a tear to my eye !!! We used to do the exact same thing with my father-law before he passed away 2 years ago.. I was something we all loved doing and the grand kids loved the outdoors.. Your Dad on the tractor reminds be of my my father-law on his Kubota and the kids on the 4-wheelers... What a great memory and thanks so much for sharing... My wife started to cry when she watched it... Wish we would have thought of something like this to give him for the memories !!!!! Thank you Tiz

I've heard of that and friends have informed me that it's $10.00 per person.. They also say that the person is never there.. We'll be heading up Monday morning and then to my uncles house on Ahmic Lake to spend the night there..... Guess we'll check the thickness of the ice too.... Thanks everyone, Tiz

I've owned them all... Merc, Yamaha, Johnson/Evinrude, Suzuki.. and by far the best has been the Yamaha !!!!!!!!!!!! These were all 2 strokes and never had a problem with the 70hp and the 90hp I owned... From my personal experiences, I would go with the Yamaha .... Over the past 15 years these are the motors that I have owned and ran. You Da Man !!! I would just dye to get into some Pike and Walleye from GBay like that.. We've tried the Port Severn and Honey Harbour areas for years and haven't been able to raise a decent Pike or a Walleye like that.. 8 lbs Pike and a 2 lbs Walleye so far........... Great Fish !!! Nice to see in which it keeps my hopes alive as I know they're in there and it's just a matter of time... Tiz

Has anyone thought of the costs.. I used to take the 407 from Brock Rd to Airport Rd everyday (155 kms round trip) and it cost me around $20.00 round trip.. Multiply this by 5 days or 6 days if I had to go in on the weekend and that's 120.00/week plus driving my Chevy Trailblazer filling that up $75.00 every 3 days.. In all I was spending about 1300.00/month on the 407/gas just to get to work.. For a short time I was running 2500 kms month on the 407.. They even sent me a gas card from Petro to save 2 cents a litre on 100 litres of fuel.... Never again !!!!! Tiz
