Good score.. I have 3 Rapala rods.. a 7'3' shift and 2 7' R-Type matched with the Rapala reels... Love them, use them every outing.. I bought 4 St. Croix rods and paired them with Quantum Accurist AC25 PTIA reels 2 of which are the KVD series earlier this summer. Wife loves hers, she uses them all the time.. Mine sit in the boat.. I think I've thrown them 2-3 times this year... Don't get me wrong.. They are super rods and paired nicely, but there's something that just gets me using my Rapala's all the time.. Tiz

Spoke with a lady from there.. It does come with the foot pedal and hand remote.. She said it's an 80 lbs 54" shaft with i-pilot, auto-pilot and US2. The bag you see has everything in it... Picking it up tomorrow morning @ 9:00am when they open.. I'm out that way for work tomorrow so what the hell.. I have a Terrova now 60" shaft with all the same features except for i-pilot.. New this year.. it'll be on Kijiji later this week.. Thanks for the heads up..

My buddy just bought a new-take off Powerdrive V2 70 lbs 24 volt 60 inch shaft with US2 and auto pilot for 900.00... You'll get more than 400.00 for it.. I'll bet my LAST DOLLAR on it !!!! I sold a Powerdrive 55 lbs 12 volt 4 months ago for $350.00.. Look around at what's out there and what's selling.. Look at the price of a new one and go from there.. Just be patient.. It'll sell

Picked up the Princecraft Pro 142 last September in very very poor condition.. Wasn't expecting much for $1500.00. Best of all, it didn't leak a drop. Took my time over the winter months to get it looking like this.. Motor was purchased afterwards as I sold the old Johnson 30hp it came with.. We used it over the may long weekend, only out for 4 hours and it was tough getting back into a 14 footer again.. Everything new in it.. Love the aluminum boats, 5 being Princecrafts of the years. Found this last Friday and it stole my heart.. I've always like this model and it was exceptionally clean.. I mean this thing is mint !!! Talked and talked to the sales rep and we scored a deal we were all happy with.. Took the Pro 142 and traded it in. Motor is being rigged 115 Hp Merc and new gauges put in.. Wife is happier, I'm extremely happy.. She'll be ready in a couple weeks.. So this is my tinner.. I tried getting back into a small boat but the back breaking waves on the wife were not going to make our trips enjoyable.. Not for her anyway !!

As I find myself leaving this Sunday for a 17 day tour of northern Ontario for work and I'm bring some tackle and my rods this time out.. I'll be driving into New Liskard Sunday night and making my way up and across to Thunder Bay, then into Kenora, Ears Falls, Rainy and back up to Pickle Lake.. I'll be making stops along the way for hotel stays but I want to do some fishing this time. I can't pass this up.. I've always want to come up this way and what a better way to do it than with work covering my trip Can anyone help me out here ? What's open ? Where to go ? I don't care if it's from shore or in a boat.. I'll rent if I have too. I don't want hot spots just some action.. PM me if you'd like to share.. I'm so looking forward to this.. Thanks, Tiz (Bill)

Hey, choke was on when we started it up and as it warmed up it was pushed back in. Runs totally different now than when I tested it with the seller. A little Sea foam in the tank too. I haven't checked the internal tank for fuel, I've only used the 3.5 gal . Thanks for all the tips and advice. Now to get a bigger boat to use it as my kicker.. If not, I'll list it forsale later this season.

Update : I filled the tank with some fresh premium gas, purchased some new plugs. fired it up.. waited for it to warm up and it runs much much better than before.. It still stalled on me when I tried to get it right down to the lowest troll.. My good buddy Mike popped by on Sunday while I was tinkering in the garage and he's awesome with small outboard 2 and 4 stroke motors. Not a marine mechanic, but just knows his crap. He made some adjustment and got it purring like a kitten.. He laughed and wouldn't tell me what he did. I still don't know what he did, but I'm very grateful. He calls me today and laughed as he offered me $500.00 for it. Ran it again tonight, and it runs so good. I'm keeping her.

Yeah Chris, it was on the tiller handle side while in the truck. There's a sticker on the motor showing it .. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Thanks again.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from said he put stabil in the tank, but there's only like a quarter tank of gas.

It seems to run really well. When starting with the choke on, it starts right up and idles quicker. As it warms up, I pushed the choke back in and it idles down and runs but stalls when you turning the throttle to it's lowest point.. (the turtle) lol . I put it in forward and gave it throttle and it sound good and seem like normal.. Was just wondering what the greenish stuff on the surface of the water was. It's also running last years gas.. from August

Hey everyone. I thought to ask here before possibly taking it to the shop. I just picked a Merc 4hp 4 stroke and while running it in a barrel, I noticed this green like substance floating on the water. Water was clean when I first put it in.. The motor starts up great but it also won't idle down low.. when I turn the throttle handle it stalls out.. Any tips or any advice on what it could be.. What the cost would be to repair if it needs it.. Thanks, Tiz

OK.... I've decided to take the wife to a lodge (her idea) since her great catches last year.. She wants to go somewhere different than Port Severn or Honey Harbour. So I need some help in deciding which lodge would be better for fishing.. I want her to catch and have a great time. I've narrowed it down to two lodges... Waterfalls Lodge or Marten River Lodge for a week in August.. They both look great and offer back lake fishing at an extra cost which is the norm... We'll be bringing our boat up for comfort.. Has anyone been to either of these lodges ? What's the fishing like on the main lakes ? Species ? Any tips or anyone's past experience with either of these lodges would be greatly appreciated.. I need to book by the end of the week as there are only a few cottages at each left... Thanks in advance.. Tiz

There's a guy who posted an add on Kijiji and is in the Oshawa area who works on Johnson's and Evinrude's.. look up his add. I called him regarding some info on my 30hp Johnson and he texted me back all the info I needed... Unfortunately I sold it and bought a 30 Yamaha... He seems like a nice guy... Paul at Top Gun Marine in Bradford is awesome if he as the time... I've sent a few friends his way and they were pleased with his work and prices..

FYI... for anyone looking for a Minn kota bowmount... Was working in the Hamilton area last Wednesday and went into CT on Upper James.. They have 2 NEW IN THE BOX... Minn kota Powerdrive V2 55 lbs thrust, 54 inch shaft on clearance for 475.00.. Reg 679.99 Seems like they are cleaning house on some of their stock.. I picked up a Minn kota Powerdrive 40 lbs 48 inch shaft (display model) and old stock for 149.00.. it's brand new.. manager just set the price while I was there... perfect for my 14 princecraft 142.. Ice fishing gear is on major clearance too...
