  1. I had the same problem last year, fix would cost as much as new unit. Went for a new unit. The Merman will advise better as soon as he wakes up
  2. Admin delete if not appropriate, there was an earlier post regarding the problems member have had. If you're tired of the crap that we all now have to go through because of changes with the e-test , take a look at this link and sign the petition. http://www.scrapdriveclean.ca/take-action/

  4. CTS is the way to go. Problem solved.
  5. Worked in theater in herbhay daysnand had to watch her movies for three day straight. Nota bad looking girl at the time. It goes to show how life can be cruel and take anyone down. This week a lot have gone and one in my family. RIP all.
  6. Mike fishes a CTS (Canadian Tire Special) Sorry Mike, with my connections I better give CT a plug even if they don't carry them!
  7. great to have someone keep our citty's/ lives in photographic memory. I have copy of 'between friends' a gift from the Canadian government gift to the US for their 200th Anniversary. 1976. I was also involved in the 2000 millenium book about Toronto. If you can get a copy of his works acquire it, you will cherish it.
  8. .I have property with a stream that divides the property. I'm not allowed to devide it or even build on it because it "may be" a spawning ground off of the Notty. The only thing in there is muskrat and chub! I have never seen trout or salmon, then I've never checked it out close. It may not be big enough to canoe, but I have never seen anyone trying it. Please respect private property and just ask if you want to access it. If you blink you will miss it anyway. I have been asked by an OFC member to use the property to hunt and if it was not for a partner, he was most welcome to use it, I have never met him but trust him to use it properly. people are very protective of their land and use, please respect it as if it was yours. If ther are laws that are In a grey are for use please check before you enter. With many years of fishing years behind me I've never been on private property. Ontario has 250,000 lakes and 160,000 km of rivers I'm sure we can find one that is not private. There is nothing worse to make a good day out into a disaster or even ending up witha charge.
  9. We had huge huts on Simcoe for years and with numbers! Always took them off on time. No fail. The there were no regulation on how big the numbers had to be. I wrote then in pencil at about 6 point. I was never asked where the numbers were. COs that cMe by we're great guys, they loved our decorations in and out. I had one window with a dismantled TV front buttons and all and a thermostat that worked. A lot more to keep us happy. Maybe someone recalls the huts with the 'flags' off Oro 9, those were the days! Even a plane landed because of the flags indicating wind direction!
  10. How about insurannce costs if you buy and sell?
  11. Cliff, you are so right. SPECIAL MAINTENANCE, my butt! Hospital and medical centres should have reasonable rates, especially when most users are seniors. Where I was ticketed that spot can generate $104,832 a year if everyone using it paid $12 per hour to go into emergency to see someone. If you over stay after paying the 12 the invoice for the rest of your visit is an additional 49! Like I said, I'm taking it to my representative in government! It may not go anywhere but I will make my voice heard, no answer, no vote.
  12. And when people stop going downtown (which hate and avoid like the plague, Never travelled below St Clair for 15 years unrill our offices moved and then we moved back out two years ago. They will kill tourism and businesses will close or move out to the suburbs, we have better roads, and lower tax rates. Charge parking at Casinos and other entertainment areas since the patrons have money to throw away. Haven't used public transit since 1968. And never have used 407 and still get around just fine.
  13. Yes they do take care of the parking lots better. Put in better gates and electronics gadgets to keep you in and raise the prices, because they have put them in. The hospital lots I have used in the last two years have been the same for ages and no "special maintenance" has been done except for the gates and lack of and attendant in most cases. If I take someone who has difficulties I drop them off at the entrance and then go park. I too have paid for parking at work. How do tou justify $12 per hour. And when was the last time you have gone into a hospital emergency and came out in an hour, more like 8-10. Look at the admitstrator's pay check and it will be well over $100,000. I will take up hospital parking charges as opposed to FREE casino parking with my MP and MPP . . .
  14. Looks good, but, typographycally the space between the bullets (round dots Is not equal from the left and right side, I'd get adjusted if possible, but not a big deal, I have an eye for logos. Yes, do get it registered, a TM can be kept for a while but registered is for ever. I don't have the figures on hand.
  15. thanks for all of your input, seems different areas have different rules. I myself see it has a money grab, and have no choice but to pay, especially in the GTA. (drifter you guys probaly park on the ice, lots of room). I have had my conversation with the parking company and they will cancel my 'invoice' but I still paid close to $75 when I used their standard parking procedures. I agree at the lack of advertising regarding rates and being in the advertising business I made my concers ver loud and clear. Two years ago when my own mother died I voiced my concerns to Mr 'Mac$)($ and others about this, it's not casino Rama we are going to and they get FREE parking and this jackass sends me a letter regarding how much they spent on 'healthcare'. When has it ever happened that we put $12 in a meter and come out an hour later at a hospital even if they had posted the 'hourly rate'. When the normal wait is 8-10 hours. Again I will send my records to my MP, MPP and will also have a pee for them. I've never asked or collected anything from then since I started working (68) but hey seem to always want more even it's throught a paki ng control entity. I'm sure when they died it's all on our dime! Best regards Albert
  16. If you don't pay or get it cancelled they will send it to a collection agency and credit bureau. I will contest this as much as I can after the funeral. BTW this lot and all parking issues are controlled by private firm and they can do what they want. I guess the hospital gets a portion of the take. Happy Easter to all.
  17. I have my mother-in-law in a hospital in very serious condition. Thursday morning we were called at 5 am to come in, I drive down saw a parking spot beside a meter and punched in the max amount 12. Stuck it on my dash and rushed in. I came out 6 hours to find a parking 'invoice' for an additional $49. I spoke to someone and at that meter they charge 12 an hour! When you are called in you get there as fast as possible and don't think about such things. I did not see any signs for 12 an hour only the max $12. I went back yesterday and and has I was paying another $15 I was told that for $17 I could get a day pass! WHERE are the large signs to advise people. A CBC report I will read later says that parking fees are another patien tax we have to pay. WE go to the hospital to see loved ones, It's not an entertainment venue. I for one do not want free parking just reasonable rates. A lot of people make minimum wage and parking is way over that at this location (Humber River at the 400 and Finch). People that go gamble away their savings/paycheck at our casinos get FREE parking! I cannot even contest this ticket as it's called and invoice! MY MP will hear me soon. A
  18. Wayne, those three months will turn into years. Happy birthday Jen, we wish you many more.

  22. My PB Simcoe laker came in at 14 lbs. In the early years lots of whites and herring. Let's keep it clean and conserve. My grandsons want to catch perch in two years; the rest, they will have to find It's so close to home for us to enjoy. Nice catch guys.
  23. [quote name="irishfield" post="769189" timestamp=" When your truck won't pass E test you just take it to North Bay and sell it, just like all the dealers do . . You are in doo doo now Wayne lol. You let the bag out of the catolytic converter. If my '95 jeep wasn't going to pass I had a farm address in reserve. A farmer owens it now but it passed as new. .
  24. I did the advertising or this for many years, but they have cut back on informing the public with ads or brochures. There was talk that vehicles built in 2007 or later were not being tested? Did it happen? I have a 2007 bought in 2010 and this year no notice of a test!
  25. Sorry to hear Bill! at least you got back. In the '80s I had a "massy ferguson" I'm not kidding, we finally named her 'halfway' would drive out from Oro just fine but would like to get towed back. Only ran when it was cold, may she rest in piece, I miss her
