  1. You have to stop wearing white clothes/gear on the ice. You blend in. Reason why polar bears are white.
  2. Ontarios proposed New Plate slogan. They will change their mind when this gets out again.
  3. here you go. reputation. ... If you are considered trustworthy and kind, you have a good reputation. Reputation comes from the Latin word reputationem, which means "consideration." It's how people consider, or label, you — good or bad. The noun reputation can also mean "being known for having a specific skill or characteristic."
  4. Where did you go, the church at Dufferin and Glenholme?
  5. And this happens! Kids are so taken when this happens.
  6. Chris, I understand your feelings and whatever happened could have been avoided. but when it happens don’t go on Tv and want sympathy. Yes if it does happen we save others not ourselves. better to be aware befor you go out. let’s all learn a lesson here and next year we won’t have to post.
  7. Yes they made that decision to go out unfortunately one died, sad to hear. Last week two kids died (15 and 11) going on ice at midnight. Of all hours. What were they thinking and where were the parents. I saw a news report how they lost great kids. . . But nothing about their responsibilities. RIP, every year the OPP and others warn about ice conditions but some won’t listen. Many years ago off the 9th solid ice about a mile out and at shore one of our guys went through in three feet of water. drainage ditch was flowing underneath.

  9. Must be the currents out of St Clair that break it up.

The window is 73 minutes a day and only If I’m running late. only my wife has the number!!! Only one caller. AI I started culling old technology this week. Sold my Funk and Wagnalls books dumping a 20” TV and a MAC G4 tomorrow. Wife asked why do you need all of those wires and rotery phones? I have phone we purchased from Bell. Selling for $75. . . I have wooden type from the 1900s worth a small fortune to the right interior designer! hard to let it go. Funny part they are always asking to donate stuff. We called and were refused “you don’t have enough for us to pick up” I guess better in the landfill. when I grew up stuff was passed around. SORRY!

Lew, years ago I was in a grocery store and two of York Region Fire were shopping and one said to the other, What peanut butter shall we get? I was so close and know the ad business, “the one with the peanut on top” smiles all round. glad they were rescued, but there was guy with a phone taking picture for what, how close you came Be safe no fish is worth a life.

  18. my hauger fell off my sled when I was youg and stupid and there was a lot of traffic that Saturday afternoon going to the same spot on ninth line Oro never saw it again! But I dropped a bait box out of my vest in Meaford between shore rocks and six months later a I get a call all is found but the palstic box. A first time fishing buddy (client) we took with us went back with marine magnets and picked everything up.
  19. Ak I know what you mean. No matter where we are that stuff will follow us. I was in my 20s. when I lived close to the area Allen Rd and Eglignton. Yorkdale was there but never went. Yes Brian, Burger Barn, but the guys with cars went to Harvey’s. When McDonalds opened they went under! I have seen lots of Ontrio but with family commitments will stay just outside of the big city. Venturing south of Steels is scary. NOT because of the happenings, Mine is the traffic and avoiding bikes and streetcars. You have to re-educate yourself when you venture there. I have to do it once or two times because of my wife’s medical appointments. Good luck with your choice. Anything is better that city life with your apportunities and location.
  20. Spent may a good night at the Dairy Queen, Harvey's and Burger Barn along that stretch of Dufferin. To bad it's gone. down.
