  3. You spoke Italian with Yankee accent, Hei cumpa sogno Americano. Who the hell lands at Ciampino. Must have been 40 years ago! Never had a problem at Leonardo, but in 75 they gun toting soldiers above customs on catwalks!!L due to the Israeli conflict.
  4. Chris, it’s mine too, in a certain way. I was putting a Tourism book to press years ago and we get a call from “someone” late at night, I was not involved in the call, only production “I want that Highway on the map”!! What is going on here? Press time and correction cost thousands. we had a standard Ontario map we used with major highways but all of the sudden a “let me look good” person who pushed for the road decided the map had to be changed, never mind the cost, the map got changed. Lost little sleep on that one. hope it’s well used!
  5. Just say, just a minute I’ll get a paper and pen to write down the information and sit and have dinner! They will get hungry later.
  6. You have never been to the Ganny! It’s all here say. The peace and quiet will overwhelm you. You really have to try it. now if you are talking The Beaverhead that is another story. No people there either

  11. Just trying to help those that drive a lot and not contribute any more taxes B. I’m good for 10 days and more between fills when I work. I will top it of tomorrow even though I have 10 days off. Toon away B.
  12. 1 cents tonight and 3 on Saturday. Filler up.
  13. Brian, those are tough units. My 6800 is also a 2008 year. Yes, I cover it and under a gazebo, but outside, it does get wet and snowed on. I have (me bad) left it on two times. Mine is natural gas it ran, sad to say. But no damage done. I always run it on low for a short time after cooking, burns the grills of any residue, scrape it clean and shut it off. the first time I left it on nearly killed me. CT has changed vendors but CENTRO is still alive. One thing I do when it reaches temperature I brush the hot grills with a mixture of olive oil and vinegar. It flares up for a second and flavours the meat. BTW I use a celery stem with leaves or parsley for a brush. use it well my friend, it will last a long time.
  14. Wait until she tastes your fish! Baked in an aluminum foil pouch with onions and lemon slices, white wine can also do the trick B. Steam cook it. Enjoy.
  15. You may have the same unit as me (6800). 4 burners and side grill . . .Yes one igniter went last year, have to look into that. when I use rotisserie I put a pan filled haft with water and it does it. No mess at all. Going to tear it apart and inspect everything when it get warm great unit.
  16. I’ve had Centro since 2008! Burners are fine only replaced the shields once. this year need to replace the brackets that hold them, easy fix. CT “donated “ the biggest they made.
  17. Many years ago some dude from the “rock” that ‘found’ his way to our huts on Simcoe by the way of his brother in law who was a client . . . This moron brought out a generator so he could watch the hockey game! super moron with this thing running on the ice! I had my own hut and nothing to say to him except, never come back. FIRST AND LAST!
  18. Don’t know B. We only use the grapes no sense in destroying the source. If it’s the stuff they prune in the spring lots in Niagara at this time of year. I’m not sure but the actual trunk would be hard to come by for sure.
  19. Cliff there is charcoal starter, basically a cylinder with holes and a handle. I bit expensive for my liking but any handy person can easily make one. Once burned hot dump it in the BBQ. Son in law use it. And yes charcoal is way better than the briquettes. Probably contain chemicals. .
  20. You should get a propane gas burner. I have used one for years when I boil my tomatoes for the sauce. Readily available during tomato season (late Aug/Sept) in Woodbridge. My first one laste 40 years.
  21. I'm pretty sure the carbon tax will affect everything we use in the long run. Electricity produced using gas will have. . . .
  22. I baked my first loaf in 30 min. on Sunday at 500° took no time to get there. y
  23. Cliff we had a flattop for many years and worked well. Wife kept it spotlessl When Hydro went through the roof we decided to give it up and go with Natural gas. Best move ever. WE kept the flat top (16 years) and will be at my daughter's rental. Natural gas is faster and cheaper. No more pilot lights . . . easy to clean with the full tray at the base. Three years and nothing wrong so far.
