  1. I grounded my son for 2 weeks for littering. He threw a candy wrapper out my car window. Parents these days need to smarted the hell up. S.
  2. I have lots of OLD shimano spinning reels that still work perfectly to this day. I have 2 pfleugers that dont work any more. I really liked the pfleugers when I got them, but they just don't hold up like a shimano does. I have a few diawas that are tough too. For me its all about getting gear that can take a beating. If it doesn't last, I don't want it, especially reels. I can get away with cheaper rods, but the reel is important. S.
  3. The ganaraska forest is a good place to ride. Plenty of variety from beginners to some pretty challenging trails/hills/terrain. $30/day, or $175 for a full year membership gives you access to almost 12,000 acres of forest. Hundreds of Km's of trails. S.
  4. Some of us had to work the day!!! LOL I love fishing after work though. Hot or not....its my therapy. The 3 muskies didn't hurt either. 30, 37, and 44" ers....not a bad way to spend 3 or 4 hours. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous that night too!!
  5. yeah, I've been following this too. Its sad. I am on the fence. People should be allowed to fish on public property, but people also shouldn't be idiots. Its the same everywhere these days. More fishing being banned every day. S.
  6. I learned to ski behind an old 14 ft cedar strip with a 33 1/2 johnson. It seemed like it flew back then....lol Then we upgraded to a 14ft glass runabout with a 50....it seemed like such a hot rod....lol Boy the times have changed, eh? S.
  7. Yup, been dealing with them for years. I have the word in to them for a used one, good guys. They also are THE BEST place to get trailer axles. They all come custom made, and all have the EZ Lube hubs....the best! S.
  8. Yes b'ye! Mighty Dodge all the way! 2017 Ram....Hemi....4x4....tow package....sport appearance....nothing too fancy. S.
  9. Just got a new truck yesterday. Caps are pricey...holy moly....im on the prowl for a used one though. I dont care what it looks like. It needs to keep my stuff dry and secure... S.
  10. I was out yesterday afternoon too. Fished 3 hours, drank 4 bottles of water, caught 3 musky, and got cooked! I hate this heat. 75 degree surface temp... say what? The fish seemed to not mind.... S.
  11. I've shocked many people with bass and pike that thought it was walleye. Any FRESH fish is good....if you like fish. S.
  12. Cool man....subscribed. I like your style. Real fishing, nothing fancy, no Bull....good stuff. S.
  13. Loonie tooner....great nickname for ya. I was chuckling a few times there....lol....if ya cant have fun, whats the point eh? S.
  14. Begins? Its musky time now!! S.
  15. The price of a new one is worth it. They last, and take a beating. S.
  16. Wow....that is an ugly fish....lol....but what a beast! I am opposite of you. I catch all my big ones casting, and cant get big ones trolling. I catch fish trolling, just never the big ones. Congrats! S.
  17. This stable weather has the fish snappin good!
  18. Yup, cant go wrong with the stradic!
  19. I hear ya.....whatever works for YOU is whats best. I'm cheap and simple LOL..... S.
  20. Maybe for you, but for me warmth and comfort is first priority. I spend a lot more time on top of the ice, than down a hole, and I don't plan on going down a hole any time soon. 100% of accidents on the ice are PREVENTABLE. S.
  21. Yup. My old camo mustang suit was that way. My legal PFD's never leave the boat anyways.
  22. I gave up on floater suits. There is so much gear that is way better than a floater. If your not stupid, you don't need a floater on the ice anyways. I much more prefer bibs and a coat. So much easier to regulate your temp, and waaaaaaaay more comfortable. I never found a floater suit to be warm. They are OK, but there is waaaaaay warmer gear than a foam filled straight jacket IMO.... I like the arctic armour suits. I'd like a camo one, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. A floating set of bibs/parka would be ideal for waterfowling from the boat, but most floating set ups aren't camo..... I will never buy another one piece. I just don't like them. Uncomfortable, sweaty, and you are stuck in there with no way to regulate your temp. I have an XXl Helly Hanson I'd sell if anyone wants one. In great shape, I never wear it. Red/Black. S.
  23. $200 cap, $400 paint job to match truck.....$600 for a great set up. S.
  24. If you want big pike i wouldnt pick either of those lakes. Lots of hammer handles, but bigger ones are tough.
  25. They give you a measuring device and an object that must be in the photo of the fish for it to count.
