  1. Nice tribute, but Aldean has nothing on Tom. Nothing. S.
  2. Great. Thanks!
  3. Has anyone heard from Cliff? I have tried texting and calling, but no response. I am a little worried.
  4. Omg Cliff, I am so sorry to hear this!! Lori and i send our deepest condolences. If you need anything, or there is any way at all we can help, please dont hesitate to ask!! S.
  5. Pretty soon there will be no good ones left. I will jam out all the Tom Petty tunes I know tonight in his honour....the list is long....I may need a couple nights....and probably need new strings on the guitar by the time I get them all done!!! The list is LOOOONG!!
  6. No life jackets, 4 in a canoe, at 230 am?? What the hell were they doing out there?
  7. Ive had 2 arctic cat sleds and both of them left me stranded. One was a puma 340 long track, the other was a 440 snow pro.....junk. S.
  8. Yes, fan cooled for sure.
  9. I'm a yammy guy. I swear by them, but they don't really have a decent trail breaking utility sled. Other than the VK's, which are way to heavy duty for what you need, their machines are bullet proof otherwise. I don't know why they stopped making the bravo's.....they are the best sled ever for bushwhacking and ice fishing. If I was looking for a new sled for what you want to do, I'd be checking out the same as you are. A buddy of mine got a tundra last year, and its a great little sled. Very good off trail, and reasonably light as well. His is a 300 fan, 4 stroke, I believe. Runs like a dream so far. Its not fast, but it will go anywhere you need it to, and back. S.
  10. Yes the VK are tanks. We have 2 at work. I wouldnt get one for trail breaking, get stuck and you need a tow truck to get it out. We use them to pull X country ski trail groomers. They are bullet proof but way too heavy duty for what you want IMO. Yamaha really needs to bring back the bravo lt.
  11. What he said ^.....I think the new VK's are 4 strokes now though. I have a yamaha venture....love it...I only use it for fishing, with the odd little trail ride if conditions are good. S.
  12. CPH gets it. Were you in my spot when you slammed those ice eyes? Haha....
  13. Where do you come up with this stuff?? I have no idea what your talking about now. Are you saying I'm confined to a lake with no open season for walleye? I'm lost... You are the one who posted 100+ fish days are the norm, I just called you on it.....why not just tell the truth? I couldn't care less how many fish you catch....just don't try and B....S.. everyone here. S.
  14. I fish rice tons. I live 15 mins away, however, fall is hunting season so i dont do much fishing from now til ice up. If i do fish walleye, its at night in shallow water with shallow diving stick/jerk baits. Slow drag, long pauses. A lot of the time they will follow you right to the boat and smash it on the pause, so be ready. Crappie fishing is also really good that time of year at night. If youd like more info im just a PM away. S.
  15. Well, since you said you easily catch 100 a day in one post, then say your best was sixty something between 4 guys, its pretty clear you exaggerated. I never said you were lying, just exaggerating. Its all good, i just get a laugh when guys say they caught 100 walleye in a day, when i know its just crap talk. Now Mike i would believe, he is a hell of a fisherman, and didnt just start fishing a few years ago. Jealous? Right. "Homie" ive caught more walleye this season than you probably have in your fishing career.....but thats beside the point. Why not just say you caught 67 between 4 guys once and leave it at that?? S.
  16. Ive been walleye fishing my whole life. I consider myself pretty darn good at it. I have never had a 100 walleye day. I dont doubt you have had some good days, but 100 fish is a lot of fish, and id bet my paycheck its exagerated quite a bit. 67 between 3 or 4 guys is decent, but a far cry from 100. Just sayin... S.
  17. Lean back down steep hills....forward up steep hills.
  18. I doubt its 100 too!
  19. I get a ton of marine parts from BJ tackle in bewdley. Ben doesnt usually have it in stock, but he can get it by thursday. I always go there first. S.
  20. Dilution is the solution to pollution. Human waste is the least of our worries... legal or not. S.
  21. Mmhmmm....100 a day eh? On rice lake on a drop shot... noted.
  22. I wired mine direct. The plug was always a pain in the arse. S.
  23. I used one of mine in salt water and the gears inside litterally turned to sludge. The other one the bail arm blew up, and the springs flew into the lake. All my shimanos I've ever bought still work fine. I've never done any maintenance to any of them either lol S.
  24. Hardcore waterfowler here. Fishing gear gets dusty from now till ice up. S.
  25. I don't even throw butts on the ground. I put them out and put them in my pocket if I have to. The wife is always pulling them out of my pockets doing laundry....I hate litter! S.
