I'm a lowrance guy hands down, but I don't know much about these hook units. I'm looking for an HDS 7. I like the older stuff myself. I have one hummingbird portable that my better half uses on the ice, and I can't stand it. It has nothing on my older lowrance portable. Its better than nothing, but that's about it. S.

Yup, usually its the light fixture itself thats not grounded properly. I solder all my connections and shrink wrap. I haven't had an issue with lights for a long time, but lately I have one light socket that my bulb doesn't like to connect properly in. Time to install the new LED kit I guess. S.

I disagree. Ducks migrate on full moons so you have fresh birds in the marsh. I plan ALL my waterfowl trips around the full moon. Always works out. Last year on the super moon we slayed birds. I don't plan my fishing days on the lunar calendar, but when it is a good day, I will make sure I am in a good spot for the max times for sure. It does have an effect on all living things. S.

Hmm...I've read some pretty interesting responses to this thread. Some people should just keep their mouth shut when they don't know what they are talking about. I wouldn't pay, period. You didn't get what you asked for, and what you have isn't going to do what you wanted. If I did a job and it wasn't done as per the contract, I would re do the job. Its as simple as that. I'd make the contractor come back and tear it up to be re done at his expense. Mistakes cost. S.

Next bucket list item i will check is lake of the woods. 10 days there in a few weeks chasing musky. Next year i want to scratch halibut and ling cod off on a trip to vancouver island. After that maybe costa rica for some salt water species. S.

Fished rice on sunday. Levels are back to normal spring level. Weeds are crazy high. I think they grew to the top of the high water, then they let all the water out, so now its crazy thick with weeds!!
