  1. Maybe you just suck at musky fishing? Just sayin... I catch lots of big musky in sturg. I'd bet my paycheck that more musky are killed by releasing them. S.
  2. Yes, but they don't always want that size TD, so you need the leadcore to get the depth fine tuned for the size of bait they want. They feed on smelts in there. S.
  3. This site needs a way to upload from mobile. Period. I would post photos again if that were the case. How many of us actually sit down at a PC anymore?? For me, rarely, and even then I dont' upload my photos from mobile to PC. S.
  4. For walleye on bark lake you need to troll open water with leadcore, riggers, or dipsys. Generally 20-30ft down. Stick baits off boards with 3 colour core has always worked for me. Just use a bait that dives the right depth off the core to get where the fish are. There are some big eyes in there. Troll 2-2.5mph
  5. I didnt even know there were fishing spots on the map....lol....just look at the map and think like a fish. Thats what i do.... S.
  6. Have a look here : https://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@10&key=islqGp%7Df%7BM
  7. Nice! Looks great! S.
  8. The strake will be the culprit for sure. Can you move it away from the engine? 2" is too close.
  9. Do the rest of us get a participation award? Its not fair to leave anyone out. LOL S.
  10. Is that metal just nailed right to the plywood? What thickness ply wood did you use? I don't like things that are just nailed to plywood. They come free after time. Looks great though! S.
  11. They look like it to me too. I use this website a lot for mushroom I.D and info. http://northernbushcraft.com/index.htm
  12. You might just have to tilt the transducer down a notch to improve the reading at speed. Mine needed to be tilted down one notch and it made a world of difference. When the boat is on the trailer my transducer looks like its mounted wrong, but when on plane in the water its sitting level. S.
  13. Like Shag said, its all in the care taken of the fish. Whack em, and stick them on ice. That goes for any fish. I eat fish as much as shag, if not more, and I am very picky about the care taken of my fish. Its really the key to eating any fish. S.
  14. I don't do bass, but those are f'n hogs man!! Huge anywhere you go. Who cares what the weight was....they are huge! S.
  15. Care to explain? Ive been using wing nuts forever.
  16. If you want to take a boat, I'd stick with anstruther, or long lake access. The fishing has never been great for me. Walleye are a tough go. Lakers are doable, but still not easy. BAss are everywhere, but no real big ones IMO. Best way to explore the area is by canoe. Some of the back lakes are full of bass. S.
  17. All counties wont be inspecting septic systems. Its just not possible. What are they going to do, dig them up?? They can't even enforce their own by laws now. If it was me, and its not, I'd already have it built without a second thought. I'd be more concerned about my neighbors than the township. They are the ones who will make the complaint. I know this is probably bad advice, but it is what I would do without question. S.
  18. I am actually pretty surprised you didn't get into more musky. I have had pretty good luck in that chain for musky. Mostly in head lake and the north end of Kash...there are some HUGE fish in there too. Looks like a great vacation though, good stuff. S.
  19. He has done a lot more to help me out too! I try to reciprocate, but he has me beat still! S.
  20. I know the spot well. Had a cottage in wilberforce, on grace lake, for 25 yrs. Sold it 2 years ago. Spent TONS of time in those woods and waters. The spot you refer to is where I catch the browns now....and the odd speck. S.
  21. How about you go have a look and see, then let us all know, and post a report of your day? I see you always ask for detailed info, and NEVER give anything back. What comes around goes around. S.
  22. Specks get put in the irondale near gooderham. Last i checked anyways, and that was a few years ago. Never had any luck catching them but i have caught some nice browns in there.
  23. As far as i know they still stock specks and browns in there. S.
  24. Yup, big lot, no worries. S.
