It doesnt sound like you need a 3/4 ton to me. A half ton will easily do what you want, the amount of times you need to do it. Now if you were a contractor hauling around a full load, and towing a big trailer with equipment, then sure..... S.

You can buy one that clips on the battery with alligator clips.

I am looking for logs, not a cord of wood, just so we are clear here. I know what a cord is, and I don't want cut and split. I do my own firewood, but this year there was a problem with my usual source, and I have kind of been left high and dry. I have a few cords ready to go, but I am going to need a lot more sooner than later. Thanks, but no luck. He only has $40 stacks for sale, and doesn't do logs. I have called a ton of kijiji yahoos as well. Hard to find someone to deliver a load of logs. S.

I would be more afraid of other boaters than the waves from wind. You will obviously pick a calm day, but there are some real meat heads that run out of that port. I would need eyes in the back of my head to feel safe in a canoe. I have nearly had my 16ft boat swamped by big charter boats running in or out of the channel. Just keep your eyes open. S.

Bummer!!! Finding wood is easy, finding good wood, not so easy. Old....if you are getting bush cords for $60, and its good hardwood, I'm already on my way. A lot of people call a face cord a cord....which its not. I know down in your neck of the woods, there is a lot of dead ash, thats infected with the Ash Borer Bettle....I'd rather not bring that up here. Its here now, but no need to make it worse. Finding a truck load of logs is not as easy as it usually is this year. Not sure what the deal is. Maybe too wet?? I dunno, but I need wood asap. I hate paying top dollar for it though....anyone have some trees they need cut down? I'm pretty handy with a chainsaw. S.

I have done well trolling worm harnesses off the weed edges/drop offs in there. Bottom bouncers in 15-20ft usually works now. S.
