  1. I'd stay away from a triple for ice fishing. Keep it simple. The middle cylinder gets too hot on the triples and burns up. Been there, done that. S.
  2. Where are you finding ice that thick?
  3. Maybe its your buddies who are the bad luck?? Lol Thanks for sharing! S.
  4. Mine is begging to take her fishing again. Rough life eh? S.
  5. Any brand is goodd, just charge them after every use. S.

  11. Anyone have any other suggestions on what to do about a failing moose population?? I hunt for food. No bling involved whatsoever. I probably have the cheapest kit possible, but I'm the same with fishing. Cheap and effective. Its the camraderie, the sunrises, sunsets, time with family, friends and kids......there is so much more to hunting than killing something. If your caught up in the bling, your being blinded by it. S.
  12. I come here for the non fishing stuff myself. If I want fishing reports or info I go to other places. This site has lots of great info on fishing related topics, and tech stuff, but fishing reports are history. S.
  13. Your going to want to pick your days on lake O in that boat.
  14. If it was easier to post pics from mobile I would post reports once in a while. I havent fire up the laptop or PC for ages. S.
  15. I usually drill a couple turns of the auger, put a little water in, and shoot the ducer right thru the ice. Never had a problem. It won't mark fish or anything, and might not tell you the depth properly on the readout, but it will mark bottom, and you can figure it out from there. Works great. I never drill holes to find the depth. S.
  16. What was the bottom line on this project, Terry? It will be awesome on the lakes, but maybe not in tight trails. S.
  17. Good luck! We had a great day on tuesday! S.
  18. Ive uses robinsons as well. Good guys. Also use hastings, very good as well. There is a guy in bewdley who does great work as well. MD marine. Im not sure he works in the winter, but hes a great mechanic and real nice guy. Hes helped me out several times with some odd issues ive had, and was very fair with his pricing as well. Worth a call. (905) 767-3777 S.
  19. Yep....this ^ Sharpened auger blades never work the same as new. Get new, and take care of them. They last a long time if you're careful with them. S.
  20. The hut we fished wa4 in 35ft. We took home 60 jumbos. Lots of 10-12" fish with a few 13's and my gf got big fish of the day at 14.25...what a tank!!! Great day! Ya cant beat Tim Hales operation. Best on the lake IMO. S.
  21. We're slayin 'em at tims right now!!
  22. I get all my gear from the small guys. Ive been to bass pro 4 times. Left with nothing 3 times. The 4th time they replaced my worn out redhead socks lol I go to BJ's bait and tackle for almost all my stuff. If he doesnt have it, he'll get it. Even boat parts, engine repairs, you name it. On top of all that, its family run, and they treat me like a friend, not a customer. Its worth it for that alone. S.
  23. My GF and I are headed out with Tim hales in the morning. I'll let ya know how it goes. S.
