  1. A couple of smart 's I see  . Oddly enough I remember the old ringer washers, not with the wooden barrel though. Not quite that old. Only concern I remember were the buttons on clothes breaking in the ringers and the pump not working to get the water out. Funny how the simple things just worked. Holding tight Mercman. Just want to have an idea what I'm dealing with here and cost. And can I fix it myself? Thanks!
  2. I have a Kenmore (seems to be my first problem) 970 C47172-10 front load washer. Been a great machine for the last 4 years but is acting up. The lights are flashing and the machine is beeping when it is not turned on. My understanding is that the beeps are an error code perhaps? It will beep then and short pause followed by another beep. Then it will beep twice and then a short pause followed by another 2 beeps. I've spent the last 3 hours surf the net without too much luck. Might be a control panel, maybe the main board but the machine seems to be working fine. A bit puzzled by this but before I call a guy in for service I thought I'd try here. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It seems to be an Electrolux made machine from what I've found. I've unplugged the machine to try and reset it but no luck. Thanks for your input.
  3. Great to hear you got that sorted out. I personally haven't dealt with Jos but keep hearing great things about him. Word of mouth is sometimes the best advertising.
  4. A great loss for OFC, he will be truly missed around here. My condolences to his family and friends. Thanks for all you've done here John.

  10. Looks like a great day Ryan. Nice job on the kennel guys.
  11. Hey! I made the video! Fun playing around with that stuff and a great way to recap a bunch of pictures.
  12. Great report Bernie. I wonder if it was the fox that was around there in the winter with it's eyes staring back at night? Great to see some open water up that way. Nice treat for you to get out to the cottage during this in between season. Joe, I think the meatballs must be petrified by now.
  13. Have a great day Brandon.
  14. Happy Birthday!! Have a great day.
  15. I've been using these guys for a few years now. Last time I ordered it was there the next day. No complaints. Total Battery
  16. Just under the gun, Happy Birthday!! Hope it was a great one.
  17. Just a heads up, they'll all be out and about pretty soon in all areas. Black bear spotted roaming in Pickering 680News staff Mar 23, 2011 15:39:41 PM Police have issued a warning about a black bear roaming around the Greenwood Conservation Area in Pickering. A resident out hiking last Friday spotted the adult black bear alongside a creek and the animal didn't react to human presence. People who live in the area are being told to remove all outside sources of food around their homes and backyards including garbage, compost and bird feeders. This is the time of year when bears emerge from hibernation and being the search for food.
  18. Good tip if the wires don't have cables ties every 6 inches like mine did . :wallbash: It should just be the one panel and 6-8 screws that you have to remove, or you might be lucky and the string will work. If your boat is anything similar to my 1750, most of the wiring is tied in with the control cables and for the most part everything is exposed.
  19. Very simple. You'll have to remove the one back panel, cut a few cable ties, unscrew the old transducer, install the new one. Try to use the old holes and screws if you can. If not I left the old screws in and just drill some new holes. Don't forget the marine grade silicone on all holes and screws. As you wrap up the old transducer, follow the wiring under the dash. Where you unplugged the old one, plug in the new one for power, you'll need some connectors for this. Run the wires needed up to the unit and plug it in. Make sure all is working. Dress the cables, put the back panel on, wait 24 hours for the silicone to set up and then go fishing. There might be something I'm forgetting but this should give you a pretty good idea. About a couple of hours and you should have it done.
  20. Good one Bernie!! :rofl2:
  21. Sleds were running the lake on the weekend. Noticed some areas with open water at the shoreline. Rivers and any culvert areas were open. Lady Simcoe should be making ice over the next few days. Forecast for Keswick has -6 tonight and cold for the rest of the week. Might be OK for the following weekend depending on the rain. Ice fishing in April!! (maybe) (Sorry to all those wanting to get the boat out.) Forecast
  22. Best that you did that before you ran into some major issues on the water. Sounds like a seal but could be as simple as an O ring gasket for the fill, vent, level screws. Hope it's not to painful on the wallet.
  23. That's very sad news Cliff. It was great to have met Andy a couple times, he truly was a great dog. Very sorry for your loss, my condolences to you and Sue.
  24. I went over and talked with the neighbours the other night. Pretty upset by what had happened but very thankful for what I had done. Last night there was a knock at the door, it was them with a plate of fresh baked cookies just to say thanks again. Told them it wasn't necessary but thanked them and boy they were good. Still warm from the oven. Nice to have great people living in the hood, now if the scum would stay away we'd be all set. Thanks for the replies. It's a real shame that so many here have gone through a similar experience. Why the hell can't people leave things alone if they don't belong to them?
