  1. Scary stuff! Very happy to hear that everyone is OK. Great that your wallet was turned in HD. And a few managed a couple of fish. Not too bad of a day considering the way it started off.
  2. I run it pretty much every weekend, during the winter months only. I usually start ice fishing mid to late December and go until ice out at the end of March early April. Just fog it down in the spring and drain the gas for storage and that is all.
  3. Hero dog. Sure, your dog keeps the letter wielding postman from attacking, but would he take a bullet on your behalf? Dog owner Osmar Persisco of Garibaldi, Brazil, knows the answer is “yes” after his pet Max leapt to defend him from armed robbers, taking three bullets along the way. Persisco was parking his truck near Max’s favourite field when two armed robbers approached him and demanded the keys to his vehicle. Persisco resisted and the thieves opened fire, drawing blood after grazing the 47-year-old’s forehead with a bullet. That’s when Max lost his cool. “He saw the blood and was furious,” Persisco told Brazilian newspaper Globo. “He left like a rocket to attack the thieves. One of them ran away, but Max dominated the other one. To defend himself, the thief ended up shooting the dog. Max thwarted the assault and saved my life.” Max was hit twice in his chest and once in his leg, but by then he had scared off the potential thieves. Persisco rushed the heroic pet he had adopted three years earlier to his local vet. Max is expected to make a full recovery. “If I didn’t have my dog around, they would have killed me,” Persisco told the paper. “He’s my hero.”
  4. Haven't heard about these ones but it reminded me of another. A buddy of mine years ago was on the Bog fishing by himself. He had managed a couple of fish while another guy fishing in the distance had got nothing. This guy decided he had seen enough and walked over to my buddies hole after he landed his 3rd fish. He kicked my buddies rod stand out of the way and started to fish the hole. After some yelling and screaming the clown refused to leave and my buddy packed up and move onto another spot. Fights on the ice? Doesn't surprise me when there are idiots like this around.
  5. I've been very happy with my F150 Supercrew. 2006 and has done a good job with normal maintenance.
  6. I'm surprised you just didn't call and say let's go fishing. My, as Geoff likes to call it, antique auger (Eskimo) works just fine. Best gift my ex-wife ever gave me!! About 15 years of running well. Couple of spark plugs and that is all.
  7. Already thought of the free rental at PA or CT, may do that. And Bob's not my uncle....he's my Dad.
  8. Just wondering if anyone in the Oshawa area has a 5 bolt 18.5 fat boy tire that I can borrow for an hour today. The wrong tires came in for my trailer and will not be in until Monday and was hoping to pick up the sled today. Got my spare, just need one. Thanks
  9. A couple of class acts I'd say. Good on ya both.
  10. Nice going Geoff (assuming you are the winner) Which day are we going?
  11. Nice going Dann. That cat picture reminds of a story. I was getting some perch all laid out and ready to be cleaned up outside. There was this cat hanging around and keeping an eye on my catch. Went into to the house to grab a beer and when I came out the cat had grabbed his dinner and was running away. Oh well, it was a stray and I'm sure he could have used a good meal.
  12. 1 crappie iced and back down the hole. Couple of hits and one fish lost for myself. As for Cliff.........I'll let him answer. A great evening on the ice none the less. Thanks for doing up the report Geoff.
  13. SWEET RIDE!! You'd think they could have hid the wires a bit better on the CB and 8-track though.
  14. Happy Birthday Cliff!! Hope you had a great day.
  15. Well it seems like a good time was had by all. Can't go wrong in booking with Mr Hyatt. Great report my friend!!! :worthy:

  17. All the best Dano. Thoughts and prayers going your way.
  18. SWEET!! Certainly had some great weather for the day.
  19. I haven't had one of those in years. A staple when I was a wee lad. Nice to here you were toasty warm.
