  1. Sounds like you had a great day, Happy Birthday Joey.
  2. Hope to see you Phil! Too bad about the distance Lew but understand. Maybe they'll get up the Peterborough way for a gig. Will let you know if they do.
  3. Hope it's there is a couple of weeks as well, would be great to check it out.
  4. I wouldn't be plugging the band if you were bad. It will be a good time for sure!
  5. You may remember a post that CCMT put up about Headhunter's band Road Gravy. Well they are playing again this Saturday night at Sham Rock's in Whitby. If your not too burned out from hauling in fish all day, come on out for a pint, some wings and a rockin' good time! Sham Rock's Pub & Grill House 1100 Dundas Street East, Whitby Sham Rock's Hope to see a few of you there. I believe they go on around 9pm
  6. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a great day, slept in, a bite to eat and on the water at the crack of noon. (I could get use to that.) It was a great day on the lake, never caught so many bluegills before. A few perch and the WGSF were willing to bite as well. Found a nice school of crappie and brought a few home for dinner. The rain held off too! It was an awesome way to spend the day.
  7. Looks awesome Cliff except you put the trolling motor on the wrong side..... I have a feeling I know why you did it that way. That boat is fine with the extra weight, it moves very well with 2 guys, gear and wood floor. Can't remember what it did on the gps last year, will have to test it out again soon.
  8. If I recall correctly, you did the same thing on the weekend while trying to take a picture. Awesome report Ryan, everyone looked like they had a great time even if you were a bit late getting the kids home. Look on the bright side, you've got lots of company in the dog house.
  9. Awesome story Mike. Nice to have overcome the odds and have the rewards that you and Fidel had, fantastic. Love those brookies!
  10. I have one of those at home, baitcaster, that I still use for muskies. The rod in the shot is an old Shimano Speedmaster. Good eye.
  11. Thanks for the link TJ. Recently I heard that if you hum the Bee Gees song Stayin' Alive that the beat is good to follow as it has 103 beats per minute. Stayin' Alive
  12. Great report Dan and congrats to Jamie on 5th place! Congrats to you as well on your running accomplishments!! Well done sir!!
  13. Ain't that the truth. Great report Simon and welcome aboard Scott.
  14. All the best to your Dad and the family Dave. Been on a reel roller caster ride with my mom over the past year with her heart. Several trips to the hospital, 2 last week of which one was to put in a defibrillator/pacemaker in, it seems to be helping her. Hopefully they can fix your Dad up and get him back to being himself real soon. As Sinclair said,
  15. Congrats to you and your team Steve !!! Some great looking fish there. Might have to put more time on the big lake this year.
  16. LOL!! We mixed up the boat control through out the day. Given the lack of sleep it was quite nice to chill at the back of the boat and catch fish. I don't know if it (lack of sleep) sharpened our skills or just the fact we just got lazy and slowed down the presentation. It was a great donation!! It finally got us both in a boat for a day (after all those years of trying) and a few bucks to a very worthy cause. The fish - a bonus and certainly nice to fish with the "master" even if I had charge the batteries, hook up the boat to the truck, load the gear, tow, launch, drive the boat..... yep Ryan is a good guide. We actually made a great team on and off the water, had an incredible day filled with lots of laughs and fish. VERY much looking forward to the next trip.
  17. It certainly was an awesome day Ryan and looooong over do. Nice to know that the Fish-A-Thon for a Cure will benefit as well from our day on the water too. Thanks Mike and Danna for putting together the auction. Certainly a day that I will remember for a long time. Sorry Phil. Nice to meet you as well. I told Ryan that we could sleep in and the bite would be better after 11. No applause necessary but I am looking for pledges for the Fish-A-Thon in July. If a got a buck or 2 from all the members here, that would certainly bump up the totals in July. Cool pic. Thanks again for a great day Ryan and looking forward to the Fish-A-Thon in July.
  18. I didn't even know that they made that paper anymore. At least someone still has a good use for it.
  19. A piece of weed trimmer line works great as well.
  20. Here's a link for an audio sampler. Road Gravy Website is Road Gravy Band Next gig is May 12th under the news tab. Should be another rockin' good time, dance floor was hopping all night at Ronick's.
  21. A rockin' good time it was!! We should try and have a G2G at the next gig, who's in?
  22. That's awesome! Congrats Mike!
