  1. Just fish people. Get off your 's and fish.
  2. Congrats Chad!! All the best to you and your misses. The Couples Resort sure does look nice but as you said, a bit pricey. Friends of mine stayed there and loved it.
  3. Happy Belated Birthday Norm! Hope you had a great day!
  4. Great to see you Ric! Pics are blocked at work but will check them out tonight. Edit - Great pics and fish.
  5. Dog darn tired right out. LOL!! Great pic!!
  6. One safe and hopefully happy pooch Joey. Ya, pretty darn cute as well.
  7. Looks amazing! Well worth the money spent I'd say, especially since you can't replace it with something you'll be happy with. Cool to see the process of the work being done. Enjoy the "new" ride Steve and thanks for the report.
  8. Great to see you both having a great day on the water. Nice fish!!
  9. A great alternative. You certainly have given him the bug if he's asking/telling "we go fishing"
  10. Always sad to lose a member of the family, sorry for your loss.
  11. Surely, that was a good idea.
  12. Balsam - main lake still frozen. Mitchell - canal open but bays and lake still frozen. Simcoe - Beaverton side, lots of ice still out there. I would think that most of these areas should be ice free soon. Nice day for a drive....
  13. One of my favourite places to go, although more then the 2 hours you are looking at. Bob and Peg are terrific hosts. Down fall is you are a bit of a drive to anything for dinner. Sudbury gives you some choices but you cannot beat "The Bus" in Killarney for fish and chips. Whispering Pines On The Bay Here's my report from a few years ago. (Woodgrange B&B doesn't have a listing anymore, maybe just closed for the winter ) Report Of course you can search BBCanada . Been using that site for years and must have stayed in 30+ B&B's over the years, never had a bad experience. Another one that is a bit closer to your 2 hour range is Inks Spot B&B in Huntsville. Family weekend fun a couple of years ago Report Any questions, fire away.
  14. The photography was brilliant!! Great job Frankie!! (I'll pm my address for the payment) Don't feel too bad, I'm on par with the leafs as well. Very nice fish Juli, congrats!!
  15. First and foremost, I hope everyone is OK. Not sure why anyone would trust that area for fishing right now. Anyone shed some light on this? I guess I'm over cautious but would be interested in knowing what the conditions are like up there. Certainly different early in the season when you have 3-5 inches of good clear ice. But now with the mild temps and rains, I would think that ice would be going honeycomb, maybe I'm wrong. Not trying to stir anything up here, just more for my own interest.
  16. Smart The way this winter has been for me though, it's true.
  17. We stayed here a few years ago, awesome breakfast and a great host. http://www.bedbreakf...om/theloghouse/ There was a restaurant at the "4 corners" that was great for dinner. Wish I could remember the name of it. Buffet style and was recommend by the owner of the B&B. Niagara on the Lake is another area you might want to check out.
  18. Thanks Cliff That could be worst than having the driveway torn up in the spring. Think those guys will move to let me take my truck and boat across the stream when they are standing shoulder to shoulder?? Good to know. Wonder if it is for the new Vibe TV lines?
  19. You certainly were LUCKY! Finally heard back from the city and they have no plans for anything. Guess I'll check with Bell and Rogers and go from there. Thanks for the input everyone.
  20. Didn't you know that you are suppose to call before you dig? I'm just curious to these markings and what the heck is going to happen this spring/summer. The last thing that I need is my driveway unusable for my mother is her present health. Or for myself and not being able to get the boat out of the driveway, want to see someone go postal real fast?!
  21. All the Bell lines are above ground, run the property line at the back of the yard along with the cable.
  22. Orange paint.
  23. They've been doing some surveying in my neighbourhood. They've circled a property marker at the edge of my driveway and put CP below it. Can't seem to get any answers from the city regarding the work (not surprised) but was wondering what the CP would stand for? (there's an IP a couple of houses down) I was looking to repave the driveway this summer but would hate to do so and have some boneheads rip it up and make a patch quilt out of it. Guess I'll have to wait and see what's going on.
  24. While he's gonna be eulogized a lot for his groundbreaking hard rock/metal playing, let's not forget his subtle, egoless and brilliant work as a sideman. And something from the earlier days with Van Morrison. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Eq3YLhtuzTQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
