Good link. A few myths that I had never heard of on there. As for the Thermacell, I'm a firm believer in the product under the perfect conditions. On a few occasions when the bugs have be terrible I've fired up the Thermacell and in a few minutes the bugs are gone. On windy days, place it up wind of your location and it will help. However, not as effective as it is on a calm day. Just my opinion from my experiences with the unit. If you are on the move it won't be as effective either as it need time to build up a barrier.

Years ago I met a couple of guides and they swore by garlic. They would eat it the week before going into camp and bring another 5 pounds or more to eat while in the bush. Would have garlic on everything and even eat garlic sandwiches. I've never tried it but they said they would never get a bug bite. Personally I just use repellent and don't eat bananas.

Another stellar report Bunk, incredible pics and fish!!! I've never caught a gar, going to have to change that.

Had a great day on Saturday with CCMT. No monsters but some quality fish. I'll put up Cliff's pic for him since it was on my camera (and he really need to add to his musky lure selection , hope that's OK Mike), as well as the 2 that I boated. Report to come. Great news Frankie! My campsite is booked and looking forward to a great weekend. Just a thought. We have 8,074 members on the board, wouldn't it be nice if everyone threw in a buck or 2 for the cause. Now I know that will never happen - go ahead a prove me wrong!! I dare you!! But I encourage everyone here to find someone that is a member in your area that is involved in this event and drop off a loonie. (or more if you can, tax receipts are issued for donations of $20 or more.) It will give you a chance to meet someone new perhaps and help out this great cause. Better yet, sign up and come on out for the day.

Quite amazing how fast they grow. I had a difficult time saying no when I was down there the weekend they were born. Even more adorable now and would never be able to walk away from them. They better be gone to great homes before the Fish-A-Thon. LOL! Congrats on the new fishing partner.

Nice job on the report Cliff. It certainly was a misadventure that has lasted most of this week (actually still going on) with trying to get everyone's stuff back to them, trip back to Bancroft to pick up the truck, still have to go to Lindsay to return the rest of Bill's stuff this weekend, back to your place Cliff to grab the motor and whatever else I left behind, found something else of yours yesterday. lol!. A lot of work for a day of fishing, let's book an extra day next time. lol! Had a great time regardless of the misadventures and will have stories for years to come.
