  1. Now that's a great long weekend! I've got the bug to get back there after looking at those pics.
  2. Beautiful fish, thanks for the report Dan. I need to add this trip to my bucket list.
  3. X2 That is what I have done with mine. That reel of FHR's looks pretty cool though.
  4. Great pic of Jack and Rolof Simon! Awesome report as per usual.
  5. Thanks a great day on the water in anyone's books.
  6. Very cool. My grandfather will be 92 is a few weeks, so tell yours he has lots of time left. I got an old hexagon steel rod (baitcaster) and a bamboo spinning rod, along with a few others. Some old knuckle busters, spinning reels and lures. Don't believe it's of much value but worth a lot to me in sentimental value.
  7. Great report Juli and thanks for the video Dan. Nice PB and surprise brown!! Your perch was cute too Juli...
  8. I think the fish in the first pic are stockers as well Roy. Nice report Chad, great to see all these fishing reports coming in.
  9. Might have stumbled upon the Queen's private stock. Queen Elizabeth To Eat Lamprey Pie Made From Great Lakes Fish
  10. Incredible day weelkend on the water!! Thanks for the report!
  11. Agree. Did mine last spring, bearings, crank, piston. sleeve, rings etc. Much happier with the $10G's plus in my pocket as to a dealer for an engine that would have been 12-15G's plus tax and labour, depending on the engine. This is for a 115hp. I shopped everywhere I could and the rebuild just seemed to make the most sense to me at the time. Wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
  12. That would just make it dark meat Joe. Saw a similar thing happen with a northern pike. The pike only had to clear the gunnels of a tinny but jumped right in the boat. That cuda was suicidal.
  13. Mine is a portable unit similar to this. Ebay might be another place to get an idea of value. There is a 1955 Elvis 78 with the Sun Record Company logo on it going for $585. Now I'm going to have to go home and see what Elvis 78's I have at home.
  14. There maybe some value to them (probably not a lot) but I'm not sure who you would contact to have them appraised. However, I can bring over my phonograph, crank it up and spin them for you.
  15. First, I'd never store it with the cover on it during the winter months. Too expensive of an investment to let ice and snow destroy it. Shrink wrap or tarps and a wooden frame to allow the snow to slide right off. As for the material, I've heard good things about both. If going with the Top Gun material, maybe have a couple of vents built into the cover.
  16. I am so looking forward to being a participant this year. It will be a great day to meet some new people, have a few laughs and help out a great cause. Going to be an awesome day!!
  17. A couple more events that are close to home coming up Geoff. Charley's is even closer for you in June. Events
  18. It was a great time Joe!! The sound was perfect and dance floor a hopping - loved the version of Brown Sugar you did. Great news on the return invite and the "scouting" gig! Do you get a signing bonus with the scouting gig? Sounds like you'll need a manager and road crew soon. Another opportunity to see Road Gravy this coming weekend and help out a good cause, “the art of giving” PUB NIGHT in support for the Special Olympics Ontario.
  19. Happy birthday Juli!! Hope you are having a great day. Maybe see you both on Quinte this weekend, I'm there on Saturday.
  20. Great surprise! Canoe looks like working very well for you too.
  21. Ditto. Incredible shots, though. Want to see more incredible shots for many years to come.
