  1. Stuffed pork rolls . Very yummy . Only seasoning you need . I put the pork in a large zip lock and rolled out to about 3/16 thick and sliced in 2 sections. Layered with procuto,partialy fried mushrooms and top with havartti cheese . Roll,wrap and leave in fridge til ready to cook. Sear all sides and ends to avoid cheese and juices from escaping . Bake 350 for 1 hour on a rack . YUMMY

  6. If you like a few meals of fish every once and awhile, you should try Bluegills. Just as good (IMO) as walleye or perch. Plus you'll be surprised at how much meat these flat buggers give up after cleaning them. Dan.

  7. The spice is Russian . I grab a half dozen packs when I visit Starskys in Mississauga. That was my last one . Looks like it will be another month or so before I can restock . 100% ground pork Dan .

  9. Thanks Connie! All of my May pike were caught on my spinner baits (silver/orange), but these days I take out the hooks before taking a photo (saw a buddy get hooked in the hand!). Next batch of baits I make I'll be sure to put aside a couple for you. I'll be in touch with you soon, may be able to do an LV trip this spring of restrictions don't prevent it! I had shaved at the end of August, then I saw you sporting a beard and I've been trying to catch up! Just made a deal with Jonny, no shave til one of us gets a 50 inch muskie!

  11. That lad knew Quinte very well but was still in an area known to be sketchy in early season. Apparently he was wearing a flotation suit even but the current in that spot did him in. Don't know if he was carrying a spud. That's part of the problem with social media. I've seen plenty of nice Walleye taken from Quinte this year posted already, problem being is that it gets folks all wound up to get out there and sometimes safety takes a back seat to common sense even if you are careful. No fish is worth dying for. I'm surprised the ice is that bad up there. Guys are fishing everywhere around here, back lakes for trout have been frozen over for at least a couple of weeks now, again tons of trout pics on the 613 Ice Fishing group on FB.

  12. The idea of trying to ice fish quinte when I can’t even get on the ice in parry sound is mind blowing to me. guys stay safe and be prepared to go through. The ice is absolutely terrible everywhere right now

  13. happy Birthday DanD. Yes family is important. I had milestone last year and did nothing . . At Christmas one of my daughters gave me a lifetime gift that they all had planned and paid for. A hardcover book of my life in pictures, mostly important dates and a lot with them (4 girls) and their kids, family holidays etc. I was lost for words. Where they dug up the pictures is beyond me. But I always had camera with me and took thousands. I’m going to finish it off with my Typograpghy Journey I have written (52 years). I will burn a DVD and put it on the inside front cover. Many more Dan.
