Here's a fox in the chicken coop story. When I was a kid on the farm, Dad raised chickens for the eggs. One night he heard a bunch of squawking coming from the coop. He grabs the shotgun and out he goes. When he opens the coop's door there was it was a red fox in the corner; with a chicken in its mouth. Dad raises the gun and pulls the trigger; just as the fox made a dart to the hole he dug under the wall. Dad missed the fox; but shot the chicken that the fox dropped. LOL We teased Dad about that for the next 50 years of his life. Been fox or should I say chicken hunting lately Dad? OH man do I miss the old bugger.

Foxes are awesome. I had my minnows on the patio yesterday as I was getting ready to go fishing. Caught some movement out of the corner of my eye and there was a fox snooping around my minnows. He wasn't scared, just kept a safe distance from me, so I had to take a few minutes to walk him off properly ☺️
Hey fellas , just wanted to update. On Lew’s advice I emailed Rapala (Nordstrom) they responded and I got a replacement lure and some stickers and a hat in the mail yesterday. Good to see a brand stand behind their product.
I took all of the carpet out of my old ranger and replaced it with vinyl. It didn’t take that long and only cost me a few hundred bucks. I used the vinyl thinking it would be easier to work with than carpet and it turned out pretty good. Save yourself a bunch of dough.
Staying on time of use, the tiered would only be better during the air conditioning season by my mental calculations. Retired and use very little power, the bulk of the bill is fixed and delivery charges 😬
I started with a side console then I had a full windshield now I have a tiller. They all have pros and cons but the tiller is my favourite so far. I like the tiller arm much better than a steering wheel for trolling and for a 17 foot boat the space is pretty good. The full windshield boat was the same size but space was tight and the windshield acted like a sail if you were drift fishing. One thing I miss from my last boat is a rear casting platform but I think I might build one. The other boats were more versatile as family boats but I’m not pulling kids around anymore so this works for me.
