  1. Yeah but it could always be worse. You could end up being a bitter, disgruntled, confused Sens fan that belittles the Leafs as a method of coping with the crushing disappointment of picking a new favorite team only to see it turn into a circus show and it's best players leave. Then go on mumbling about a near miss in the playoffs to the point of nauseum because there is absolutely nothing else positive to look forward to. See? It can get worse!!! Thank you Sens fans, I feel MUCH better!!! Go Leafs Go!!!

  2. Picked up a couple Shimano combos at Sail for the kids. They’re great for young’ns off the dock and on the boat

  4. I have a 225HO G2 at the moment and havent had any issues with it. My honest opinion is every brand has a bad motor here and there. The ETEC has proven to be pretty good overall. Especially in that horsepower range. I would be more concerned with if you have a dealer close by to service it and if they have a good reputation. They will all break sooner or later. My advice would be to ask to see service and maintenance invoices for the motor to ensure it has been taken care of as well as to see if there were any major repairs. Secondly, bring it to a dealer and have them do the proper tests to ensure it is still in good condition and see if they can tell you how many hours are on it.

  6. Been cleaning up my hobby area and I have a bunch of old fishing tackle, most of it needs cleaning up/painting/new hooks stuff like that (a couple of items might even be antiques) but instead of just throwing it away I thought I would offer it for free to anyone interested in it. I might even dig out a few more items between now and someone claiming it. That's a large size freezer bag BTW not a sandwich bag

  9. Funny that my son and I were talking about that last night. He thought the Scotiabank needs to do far more with the fans between whistles to engage them. Get that place rockin’. Who the heck is gonna start screaming all by themselves when surrounded by 20,000 people???!! Other than maybe Chris I guess 🤣 That would work in some arenas but too many people at the Leaf games. In Ottawa you could order popcorn from the kid working the other side of the rink!!! Lol 😂

  12. Im surprised no one here is talking about the YouTube sensation this ice season that is cutting out 6x6 holes in the ice. i don’t think this is talking about holes that you have drilled, it’s talking about the guys cutting out sight fishing holes on lakes. uncut angling and jay siemens have been cutting huge holes this year and it’s a bit of a troubling trend because although those guys are responsible and are making their holes very well and making disclaimers in the videos to ensure you mark your holes, you just know that some idiot is going to Watch YouTube and then go out right off the access on cooks bay and cut an 8x8 hole in the ice and not mark it. the hole will skim over with a thin layer of snow and some poor bugger is going to fall right into it...I can already see it coming

  14. I drove down the the Peterboro store for the 7:00 opening this morning and there were about 9 bazillion people ahead of me when the door opened. Everybody got in quick though and I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was and I was out the door again in 15 minutes. A few minutes of utter pandemonium but I saved myself $250 so it was worth the craziness LOL

  16. As most may know, in Lake Simcoe, Round Gobies have taken over the lake. The food web has changed and Lake Trout and Whitefish are starting to feed heavily on them. This has changed the angling tactics on how and where to catch them. I wrote a little article on it. I also talk about a Hand Tied Jig I made called the Neo (See pic below). This little jig helped me ice a few Whitefish last winter as it looks like a Goby. Hope you enjoy the article... The Round Goby Invasion and its Influence on Angling Tactics
