4x4bassin Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 For those that are interested and maybe be thinking on heading out on to the lakes somewhere Thursday morning . Be on alert for damaging winds and stormy weather . There will be a squall line blowing through the area of southern ,central and northern Ontario early Thursday morning with wind gusts possibly reaching 100 km/hr out of the SW . Hardest hit areas are predicted to be north of a line from Goderich to Barrie to Bancroft . Warnings from EC should be issued for these areas in the next couple hours .
misfish Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 Thanks Im heading to the rivers in the morning. Lets hope it blows in some steelhead.
John Bacon Posted December 23, 2015 Report Posted December 23, 2015 It has been a windy month. This Friday will be the only day that the winds will die down enough to get my boat out on Lake Ontario. Unfortunately, I don't think that taking the boat out on Christmas morning will sit well with the family.
SirCranksalot Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 It has been a windy month. No kidding. Here's Nov water levels for Collingwood. The variation is about .6m or 2 ft.

misfish Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 Well I hope you're casting downwind otherwise duck for the egg sinker. Now that was wind. The ram was back and forth on the open field roads. The float was still in the drifts at time. Friday looks like a better day. LOL
Old Ironmaker Posted December 24, 2015 Report Posted December 24, 2015 No wind to speak of here on the north shore of Erie but 1 to 2 meter high waves crashing on the beach. Not a good day for trolling for Pics. It sure is pretty though.
Rod Caster Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 I lost my car to an 80 foot spruce tree today. At least my house and truck were spared by 6" each
chris.brock Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 I lost my car to an 80 foot spruce tree today. At least my house and truck were spared by 6" each Jeez. Hopefully you're insured and covered. Sounds like it could have been worse and I'm glad nobody was hurt.
manitoubass2 Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 I lost my car to an 80 foot spruce tree today. At least my house and truck were spared by 6" each Wow! That sucks major donkey ....
Rod Caster Posted December 25, 2015 Report Posted December 25, 2015 Actually I removed comprehensive coverage earlier this year. I may be able to get the car back on the road, it all depends if the A-pillar is too far bent and if a windshield can still fit. Either way I e got some work and spendatures ahead of me. I'll post some pics next time I'm at the computer
