Big Cliff Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Since we have a lot of members that depend on the Kawartha Lakes it would be appreciated if this could get pinned just until the danger has past. http://www.kawarthaconservation.com/floodforecast/index.html Thanks Cliff
Roy Posted April 16, 2014 Report Posted April 16, 2014 Yes, I also think it's worthy of a PIN. Thanks Cliff.

mattybculp Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Put out 150 sandbags at a buddy of mines place last night it's creeping up to his house pretty quickly. Man my shoulders are sore today.
Kawartha Kev Posted April 17, 2014 Report Posted April 17, 2014 Evidence of flooding on Lower Buckhorn from Reach Harbour Resort's webcam showing their dock just about under water http://www.reachharbour.com/ just click on the webcam button at the top left of the page to update the camera image. Also here is another webcam from Sunrise Resort just beside the lock on Lower Buckhorn however it has been taken down at the moment due to flooding hopefully they will get it back up soon http://www.sunriseresort.ca/index.php/photo-video/webcam. Hopefully it drops soon. Kawartha Kev
vance Posted April 18, 2014 Report Posted April 18, 2014 Went to Port Perry at noon today, the water has the boat launch covered and no ice to be seen from there. vance
MJIG Posted April 20, 2014 Report Posted April 20, 2014 Structures are under water below Lock 19 in Peterborough.
Big Cliff Posted April 20, 2014 Author Report Posted April 20, 2014 Sturgeon Lake seems to be fairly stable right now high but holding.
Jer Posted April 20, 2014 Report Posted April 20, 2014 The water is as high as I've ever seen it on Buckhorn (Tri-Lakes), but seems to have stabilized since Friday. Good news is the ice mostly left overnight.
Beans Posted April 20, 2014 Report Posted April 20, 2014 Nogies Bay (Pigeon Lake) is half ice covered and most of the north end of pigeon is ice covered... Water is up and over some docks...
Big Cliff Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 Flood waters are now receding in the Kawarthas and it seems that for the most part danger has passed for our area at least. Roy, thank you for pinning this but I guess it could be un pinned now to leave room for other important things! Thanks! Big Cliff
Sinker Posted April 22, 2014 Report Posted April 22, 2014 Rice lake is still under flood warnings, and still rising. S.
MJIG Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 Rice lake is still under flood warnings, and still rising. S. Little Lake in Peterborough is right in the midst of it as well. http://www.ptbocanada.com/journal/2014/4/17/look-flooding-in-peterborough
irishfield Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 If you've ever wondered why the ground floor rooms at the Holiday Inn always smell a little musty... Not good... should be about a foot shy of going over the street and into the houses on the South shore.
bman32 Posted April 26, 2014 Report Posted April 26, 2014 Nogies Bay (Pigeon Lake) is half ice covered and most of the north end of pigeon is ice covered... Water is up and over some docks... Yeah we are across the shore from the twin islands outside of nogies creek. Our dock normally sits about 1.5-2 feet out of the water. If we had it in it would be completely submerged by a foot.
fishindevil Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 as of today the gull river watershed and minden is under a flood watch again !!!!!
