pairofgreenhorns Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Speaking of Ranger is it possible it took him this long to get his game back? He's been playing amazing lately. Almost a different player. it is definitely possible as he missed a lot of games but he has really impressed me the last two games/
pairofgreenhorns Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 before tonight i would have been happy if toronto came away with 4 points on this road trip. if they play like they did in the first the next few games this might actually become a successful road trip!!!!!
BillM Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Ranger was a really good D man before he took his break from the NHL... It definitely seems like he is getting back into form.
tb4me Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Great game..Im beat off to bed..Leafs take points in 17 of the last 20 (14-3-3)..GO LEAFS GO!!!
tb4me Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 a four point night on 3 goals? lol he is good lol he sure was, but sometimes im all thumbs.. that was supposed to be a 3..
BillM Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 One of the best games they've played this season..
danc Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Almost a perfect game by the boys tonight. Certainly a perfect way to start off this tough road trip!!
jedimaster Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Great game last night and P.S. The leafs are currently the best team in Canada and 3rd in the eastern. A great way to wake up on a tueday morning.
jbailey Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) I was looking up where Kessel was in points and laughed when I saw Ovechkin wedged in between Getzlaf at 3rd and Perry at 5th, both of those guys with +28 and +26 ratings, while Ovie has an impressive -26 haha. Given +/- stats can be misleading, but at 67 points with a -26 is just terrible.. its like Lecavalier in 08', he had 92 points but was a -17.. defensive liabilities (although 32 of Ovie points came on the PP, which are not included, so at even strength - maybe a SHP or 2, 34 points and a -26... yuck) Edited March 11, 2014 by jbailey
grimsbylander Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 It's great to see the Leafs doing so well this year. I find myself looking forward to the games way more and actually enjoying them. I'm just glad I didn't start a post online bashing another team only to have them do really well while my team absolutely tanked. That would be ultra embarrassing!!
pairofgreenhorns Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Leafs in second place now, just bumped ahead of MTL. Big character game tonight, 2nd game of a tough 5 game road trip, LA has won 8 straight games, and Reimer will most likely be in net.

kickingfrog Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 14-3-3 can make some feel good, it's just gravy that it also make many feel so sad.
Acountdeleted Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I like games like tonight because I don't expect much, so if the leafs come out swinging its already a win.

Yeah, when you think of it, you didn't have the opportunity to bash another team doing well while yours tanked did you....oh wait a minute, your team has tanked for 48 years and now a glimpse of success and all the laffites are singing praise like the last 48 years didn't happen..comical!! Yeah my team sucks this year, but nowhere close to the level of suckism the laffs have displayed for 5 decades...
grimsbylander Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 HAHAHAHAHAHA I was wondering how long it would take you to crawl back out of your hole!!! BUHAHAHAHA When the Leafs started doing well you and your childish name calling disappeared faster than Ottawa on the win column! LMAO now! So go ahead, regurgitate all you old, worn out, tired phrases...we'll just sit back and enjoy OUR team while you growl. That "Started by muskymatt" makes me smile every time. THANKS Matt!!!!
SuperDave Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 the first period was their best of the year. Outshooting the Ducks 11-9 and 2-0 on the scoreboard. Great game!

DRIFTER_016 Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Some more hockey pic fer ya!!! This time from last nights Lightning/Coyote's game. A few of the pre-game festivities too.
kickingfrog Posted March 12, 2014 Report Posted March 12, 2014 Gardiner is the key guy on both goals. He's still a young defencemen.
