solopaddler Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Hey guys can anyone point me in right direction? I'm looking to purchase a Minn Kota Terrova, who's got the best prices in the GTA? I can find plenty of decent prices online in the States, but for something like this I want to shop locally and I'm not exactly sure where to go.
Terry Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 when I bought my last one I looked everywhere in southern Ontario fishing world had the best price Lebarons was a close second and with their discount membership card was the lowest price

That would be handy, thanks. I was wondering about Jos at Angling Outfitters as well. Not sure if he sells bowmounts though.
Terry Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I looked from Orillia to Toronto Whitby to Hamilton it was the area I looked in
landry Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Fishing World, seriously? That would be handy, thanks. I was wondering about Jos at Angling Outfitters as well. Not sure if he sells bowmounts though. Jos has the largets inventory and best prices in SWOntario usually.
Sinker Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 There is a used 101lb thrust for sale in the classifieds for a good price. I just bought one from sebastian last week, and its great. Just sayin....you could save a pile of money. S.
Handlebarz Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 I got mine from Angling Outfitters the price was better then BPS is the states.
pics Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 Unless you are going to be in the area anyways any savings would be eaten up by gas money. That being said Fishing World and most others may match any advertised price you can find within a reasonable drive. I've also found that Crappy tire has great clearance sales at the end of the season...

rob v Posted March 24, 2012 Report Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) I just got mine from angling outfitter. His price was as good as anywhere I looked - including the states. But call first - it sounds like he sells quite a few. Until this weekend though the SAIL folks were covering the taxes - and while their price was a bit higher than AO the tax savings was significant. With that said I was able to strike a deal with AO that included the mounting bracket which after I were to account for gas made AO very competitive for me. Edited March 24, 2012 by Rob V
solopaddler Posted March 24, 2012 Author Report Posted March 24, 2012 Jos will be the first person I call, thanks guys.
ecmilley Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 you could also stop by a local marina/boat dealer they may have " a last years model" for cheap, picked up a maxxum 3 years ago from a marina that used to be a lund dealer brand new in box for 450 cash
Gerritt Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Well it seems Fishing World has changed their policies which is great to see! I remember several years ago when I was looking at items they refused to match the prices I showed them... I am pleased to hear they have reversed this policy.... as I was very critical of them at that time and made it known..... perhaps common sense prevailed! Perhaps they may just see some of my business in the future, thanks to this level of customer service being offered. Thank you Fishing World! Mike... you cant go wrong with Jos... I went to him because of advice taken here after being snuffed a couple years ago by FW, in regards to their pricing... and the experience with Jos is worth the drive itself. That said... seeing as how Fishing World has changed policies... perhaps give them an chance as well. ? G
scugpg Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 I'm sure Phil will take care of you Mike but as your 2nd option I'm pretty sure Jocelyn at Angling Outfitters also has the 80 and 101 Ipilots in stock.
solopaddler Posted March 25, 2012 Author Report Posted March 25, 2012 Mike, email sent! Thank you sir!!! Anyone contemplating any type of fishing related purchase should really contact Phil. I'm embarassed to admit I never even thought of it for the trolling motor. He's got a new online tackle shop (etackle.ca), is a great guy and is an OFC member to boot.
SlowPoke Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 Don't forget your rebate: http://www.minnkotamotors.com/_docs/2012%20Minn%20Kota%20Bow-Mount%20Redemption%20Form.pdf I picked up a Terrova 101 US2/iPilot yesterday from Angling Outfitters yesterday and saved a bunch over internet pricing. Also, if you're getting an iPilot be sure to check if its the new version.
moemoe Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 I priced out a 80lb terrova last year with ipilot and lebarons ended up being the best price, better than cabelas
Lunkerhunter Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 hey slowpoke...when did the new version come out?
SlowPoke Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 hey slowpoke...when did the new version come out? Not sure... late last season I suppose. A slight change in the remote and more memory for spot locks and tracks.
RickOnt Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 It has been 'out' since late last summer but just available to the public for about 2 months. Rick
