First winter storm of the year starts tonight

Our first Colorado low of the year. 30 cm and near blizzard conditions for you northern guys and a snow then rain then snow again mix for us down here. Not sure which is worse.

We got 52 cm here on Saturday...2nd most in all of Canada that day.

You guys got lake effect snow. I live between two of the great lakes and still don't have any snow..need some though to track them coyotes!

Powered up the snow thrower on the weekend....it started and runs great. Now let's just hope that J is not too tired to use it.

Can't decide whether to throw my gear in the truck enroute to work today.

Normally I leave straight from the office Wed mornings to go fishing...

No....im sure the small lakes do, but that is all kiboshed know...last year on opening weekend there was an inch of ice...the rest was snow and slush...not looking good to start this year again.

One good thing about the move is we alrady have safe (ish) ice. Was out on the weekend after stocked trout, nothing.

 

But -33 windchill this morning is tightening things up. Barely enough snow to cover the ground though.

Few inches of rain and freezing rain due in this evening and throughout the night. Tomorrow supposed to each around 40 and could have some heavy rain. Sounds like a heck of a mess.
