Headhunter Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090625/...s_obit_fawcett As a guy who grew up in the 70's, her poster was a must have. Don't know many guys who didn't have it, or the t-shirt version. RIP Farrah... you were an inspiration for so many guys! HH
Healthnut Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 I remember that poster well.............She was a big part of those wonderful years of the 1970's....................
Joey Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 That is very sad! I used to watch Charlie's Angels all the time when I was young too.
motv8tr Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 That's unfortunate, she put up a heck of a fight....I wonder if she and Ryan O'neal had a chance to exchange vows as they had hoped... Maureen
Terry Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 too bad her photo was great to look at while masterminding plans for the future
Billy Bob Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 She was the only one that had a set of n...... that you could hang your coat on.
JohnF Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 She was the only one that had a set of n...... that you could hang your coat on. Not exackly sure why you'd wanna cover them, but hey - to each his own. And Farrah got the attention of more than just you 70's kids. Us twenty-somethings took notice of her too, but from a purely critical point of view. We weren't allowed to have her poster on the bedroom wall. Whenever my then new wife caught me ogling Miss Farrah's pic (somewhere other than in our modest little apartment) I'd say something like "Dear, do you have any idea how much you ressemble her, whatever her name is?" And she'd say something unladylike in response, and usually hit me with something hard. I guess she cottoned onto the fact that she had very short red hair and freckles and had a water skiers shoulder development, but hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can honestly say that today she looks a heckuva lot better than Farrah, no disrespect intended to either of them. I'm sure Farrah would forgive me after all those years of objectification by us slobs. Thanks for the memories, Farrah. I almost pulled the old joke there, but even I am capable of a modicum of respect for the dear departed. JF
splashhopper Posted June 25, 2009 Report Posted June 25, 2009 too bad her photo was great to look at while masterminding plans for the future try and repeat that 5 times with a few beers in ya! sad to see her go... she aged gracefully and was an example to all in her fight against the disease

Fisherman Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 Ya, ya, if it wasn't for Clairol, Maybeline, Max Factor and the garage full of face paint, most would never recognize her on the street, probably be a scarry sight.
Greencoachdog Posted June 26, 2009 Report Posted June 26, 2009 I can't tell you how many times I held that poster with one hand!!!! RIP pretty lady!!!
