I told my son ( he's 15), that I would take him fishing in Toronto (Toronto Islands).....We live in the Niagara Peninsula, and we just want to try something different....I've never been out to the the Islands.....I did a bit of research on the Internet, and noticed that there are several islands.....It doesn't really matter what we catch, but some good sized fish, would be nice....Which island would be best, for shore fishing??? Do they sell bait on the Islands????? Any suggestions or comments, would be greatly appreciated.....Thanking you, in advance..........

I got mine at the Walmart on Porter Rd., last year.....Very friendly, staff, also....................(Niagara Falls, N.Y.)...

I just can't seem to find a fishing line that I like. I'm presently using P-line flouroclear, but I'm not crazy about it. I'm just looking for a good line that has very good knot strength, and won't break easily. Any possible suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was there, last summer with my son. I caught a real nice bass, using a hook and worm. It's a real nice place to spend the day.

As you can tell, I'm new to this board, and it is a great site. We live in the Falls, and my son wants to go fishing in Mississauga. I'm not familiar with the area. If anyone could give me some advice (on fishing from shore), in Mississauga, and area, I would greatly appreciate it. We plan on coming up on Sunday, and hope to find a bait shop that would be open. It doesn't matter what we would catch. It's all for fun. Many thanks for your comments............
