kickingfrog Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Are you kidding me???? Those 3 fish from the same body of water????? In the last 2 days???? I'm not sure if all the brookies I've caught in my life (and I have caught a lot... of small ones) add up to the weight of these 3. Nice fishes gentlemen. Edited April 27, 2009 by kickingfrog
Whitespinnerbait Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Here Here ......... Fish of a Life Time right there........... :worthy: :worthy:
Leecher Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 GOT GIRTH??????????????????? Kev, what was the length and girth of this monster??
bigugli Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 It's a rare day when you get one like that. WTG
highdrifter Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 That is one sweeet speck!! Looks like that lake has all the right stuff.. Veux-tu ben me dire comment y'a fait pour la rentrer?!! Right on boys. Congrats to you both! HD
solopaddler Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Very very impressive fish! Have to say you've got the "Izumi hold" down pat though. What's truly impressive is that they're wild fish. Usually it's the small stocked lakes that coughs up specimens like that.
Spiel Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 I'm still gunning for a speck of that stature, man they are all beauties! I did note however that your cousins fish (perhaps all of them) are from stock as seen in the absence of an adipose fin.
Whitespinnerbait Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) That's it, you and Leechman aren't allowed to post anymore Don't worry about them posting anymore , if they catch and keep another trout that size they won't be allowed to fish that Lake '' ANYMORE '' ..... b2kptbo Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 WOW, nice Specks, the chewed Birch is a cool picture...
Nemo Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 That guy has a big horseshoe somewhere. Could you ask him if I could borrow it? Nice Brookies!
ehg Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 Your cousins fish is a once in a lifetime fish. Simply incredible catch. Looks like a great speck lake you found. The fish you caught is post worthy on its own! Formidable!

Veux-tu ben me dire comment y'a fait pour la rentrer?!! Right on boys. Congrats to you both! HD listen this speck was HOOKED man . it smashed the lure so hard that i felt the vibration on my TOES! my cousin brought it in with ALOT of sifficulties in the way .... if this trout had been barely hooked ... it would have been a goner..................................... but luckely or skillfully.... it was double hooked right in the solid part in the corner mouth. BTW whitespinnerbait.... befor TELLING us weather we can keep or not keep a fish.... try catching your own.... then YOU can decide with YOUR own fish what you can do with it. other than that that speck was a fish of a life time and a FEAST OF A LIFE TIME! so BUCK UP!

I did note however that your cousins fish (perhaps all of them) are from stock as seen in the absence of an adipose fin. spiel.... finaly someone with a brain....... please teach me man... yes my small trout and my cousins trout were missing the back fin on its back...... does this mean there stocked?? if so how can this be?? that lake cant be accessed buy a stocking truck or whatever..... or am i stupid again.... whats the process with stocking a trout lake....... some people say that there are splakes in there....... here is an example.... i caught this beast last year... i thought it was a speck but some guys are telling me that its a splake..... all i want to know is the truth..... IS THIS LAKE A NATIVE OR STOCKED???????????????? not that it makes any difference but i might be wrong !!!
carll2 Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 looks natural to me...stocked speck lakes in quebec are rare...i do know of a couple and usually one of the bottom fins are clipped
Whitespinnerbait Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 e...i do know of a couple and usually one of the bottom fins are clipped Exactly ............Usually they remove one of the front fins ,, BTW ... its a two hour walk into the lake in the middle of nowhere.......

irishfield Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) If it's stocked.. it would be done by Helicopter... like all the lakes in the Temagami area are. Some are even done with the Beaver and it's amphib water bomber floats... fish in.. take off and then overfly the lake at 60MPH.. bomb bays open and trout away............
