i went out today to trib unknown in the morning and managed this guy, my second steelie of my young career...

 

 

Looks like that was a dead one :( Got into 10 this weekend, all released.

yeah that one is going on the pan, im usually a catch and release fisherman, but mom wanted a nice fish fry today... :)

Theres not a thing wrong with keeping the odd one providing it's not wasted !!! catch and release is important as well but those who enjoy the odd fish can do so without harming the fish population..........

That's a nice little guy! Perfect eating size. What did you get him on?

 

the 3 inch pinky, it works wonders lol.

 

Better still if they released them....

 

like i said im almost always catch and release, cept this time, lol, and yeah only my second one caught, ive seen guys carry out limits sooo...

leave the guy alone.. so he kept a fish for the table.. he is well within his legal rights to do so... and personally they are great eating!!!Mmmmmm... dude whens supper? I'll bring the beer.

Im curious if you changed up to pinkies cuz roe/flies werent working???

If I caught a smallish chrome such as yours once a week...

it too would be heading to the pan!!!!!!!

They've all been so big lately.....I can taste it already....hope you enjoyed it.

Great job!! Hope he was as tasty as he looks in your pics! You are well within your right to keep fish...as long as it's within regs...so I hope he made a great meal for your mom. Hope to see more reports from you!
