Assuming it is not a splake that got mixed in the stocking efforts ( i heard that can happen as well ). I agree with Dan about the consideration of stocked fish for records as they are in an environment that nature did not naturally provide them so they are growing the way nature did not intend. I also feel the same way with those giant Saskatchewan rainbows those brothers keep catching I don't feel those fish have anything on a nice ocean run Steelhead. I would let the musky go. It would be hard not to.

You can get around the shipping if you go to a st croix dealer and are prepared to wait a bit until they get enough in to make a bigger shipment of 10 or so rods. then everyone splits the shipping through the dealer. dont say you broke it either. "it broke while you were fighting a fish"

St Croix is Excellent. Send er in and they will ship a new one out. I have done it twice with mine and I had a new one in a few weeks

We had a pond, more like a lake on the property I grew up on. Bass started showing up out of nowhere. My mother called the mnr and they told us that the bass eggs get stuck on goose feet when they are swimming through the weeds then they fly to the next lake and the eggs wash off when they land. Anyone else hear of this? Anyhow they were not stocked in our lake. They just showed up.

He hits and plays well in his own end. I am not trying in the least to say that Stempniak takes care of his own end. But I dont think that +/- is a good measuring stick for a winger on a bad team. Wendall Clark was a career minus as well :-) Not to ever even compare the 2 lol. Doesn't matter anyway. You can't get much for Steen or Carlo. I just think it was a weird trade with the timing. Whats the motive?

Inconsequential trade. Steen was going nowhere here. Carlo was a good player and will get better if he can keep himself on the ice. Lee Stempiak has the potential to be a 20 goal scorer and a 50 point man. BUT is a free agent at the end of the year. Prolly move on. Inconsequential trade. But not necessarily a bad one. However I wonder about the motive behind it. Weird timing with Burke apparently coming in imminently. Wonder if the talks have cooled off with Burke?
