That could very well be the best Avatar in the history of mankind. -
Check this out. http://www.canadiantiresucks.net/ hahahahaha I can not believe the spare time people have. I have had some of the best days ever in Canadian Tire and the worst days ever as well.

Saugers have spots on the dorsal, no white tip on tail. Saugeye's will have blotchy spots on dorsal, not so defined as the sauger. Saugers love to puff out there gill plates and flatten there heads out of water as well. I have seen walleye do this but sauger really love to do it.
-
Nice catch. Looks like you guys had a couple of Sauger in the mix as well.

Ramble brought up a great point about the eyes freezing. Get em back in quick if it is really cold out and your not in your hut. If you get a fish in super cold weather outside the hut. Run inside with em, de-hook, and release the little devil back into the hole. Lakers burp. Walleyes and perch will be balloon like. Some people fizz em. I don't buy it. If you come up with a pickeral and his bladder is sticking out his mouth, shove him into your pocket and move shallower. Cheers man.

It is funny that the banks are not taking the bad rap for everything. They showed up in private jets as well, employ pretty much no-one compared to the auto industry and have taken the bailout money and sat on it, not lending it, therefore inflaming the auto sectors problems. I would not suggest that they should throw it around like nothing because thats how this mess all started. With that being said, responsible lending will stimulate the economy. Anyhow, I am hoping to get my sled out of the shop tomorrow and look forward to some fishing finally. Cheers to all, and I hope the end of this economic situation finds us all well.

I am a Union Crane Operator with Local 793. All the companies I have worked for make a pile of doe, they are not going broke. The companies I have worked for make money because of good management. If it was the union rate that was killing the auto industry, why is the construction industry making a fortune?

I think your being a little harsh on the charter guys. I believe they have a great deal of respect for the fishery. There is a definite difference in opinions on the subject and I tend to lean your way in thinking about the resource and it's sustainability but to say that all they care about is money is a bit far fetched and judgmental on all charter guys. There is an answer out there, hopefully it is the best answer for everyone involved, if not everyone will have to adapt. Maybe even the river guys should leave the spawn alone and just use artificials. I have not heard of fish stocks being replenished in mesh bags in peoples freezers either. Everyone should work together on answers. Stone throwing is unresourceful.

Bahama Bones & Early Morning Perchin'

Wicked. I would say you have an awesome boss. The experience must have been enhanced greatly with having your wife invited. Great perch as well. -
Oh I see Timmins. I missed that. Sounds pretty far east for a Magpie. It is in the Tree in the second picture. Anyhow, awesome pictures. Really cool to see an albino moose!!
-
Looks like a Magpie in the tree. I have only seen them out west in Alberta. I have heard they can be around the Ontario-Manitoba border in the winter. So I would think this is North West Ontario?
-
People could stop the boat to revive them instead of pitching them over the side while still trolling with a bunch of lines out.
-
I am wondering how many of those repairs and parts were really needed. I think they shafted you that way as well. I am in complete disgust with this story. Sorry this happened to you man. Cheers

BIKE All the way.

They have to go out in the "Blue Zone" so you guys can't chuck your sinkers at them. lol. 5 is a bit much I would agree.

Case of beer and a welding shop like ramble on said. My Father made mine. He welded up some stainless steel into a beauty spud bar and has fitted that nice thick orange industrial water hose around it so it is not so cold and slippery on the hands. Make sure they make a handle wide enough so if you chip thru and drop it, the handles will prevent it from going down the hole.

Good looking perch.

I think I will reserve any sort of judgement for when I see the real story for myself. I do not trust 6th hand information off of the internet. As far as I can tell they found him in his motel room after, not at a bar. So he probably went to warm up and make a plan. Maybe he was smashed, no one knows. I am just happy the guy is alive, that way people would not be calling a dead guy an idiot for there own satisfaction while his mourning wife is stricken with grief. Anyhow, have a lovely day. -
Twilight is forever there. 45 minutes for the sun to go down, twilight bites rule.

Holdfast Pinned it. If you are moving to Calgary there are plenty of rivers around to fish for trout. Lots of Rainbows and some Browns in the city. If your going up to Edmonton There are plenty of lakes around that hold walleye and pike. There are a bunch of sloughs that hold hammer handles but you will have better options if you sniff around a bit. No Bass however. The big dirty North Saskatchewan river holds some pretty decent size walleyes. If you get the trout itch again and your in the south end of Alberta, do yourself a favour and hit the Oldman River down from the dam outside of Pincher Creek ( if it is still legal to fish there ?) for cut throats, bull trout and mountain whitefish.
-
Nice fish and Videos. Lakers love to follow those baits around and tease the hell out us on the sonar.
-
No problem boys. I have a sled this year so my options just got a lot better. Before I would always have to look for lakes along the dirty ole back roads but now i can take the dirty ole back roads, launch the sled and go from there. Cheers

I can stare at maps all day. I love them. Staring at them thinking about what humps hold more fish and why they would, making up a total game plan ahead of time and have it all fall apart and then you change strategy, have mixed results and learn a bunch about a strange body of water along the way. It is heaven. Cheers man.
