If you've ever thought your kids were bad....
Grimace replied to brandon's topic in General Discussion
That was the funniest thing I have seen in a while. My favorite quote from his brilliance. " I have, everyone has, they love it." I almost fell off my chair. This kid is dead meat when his parents come home. hahahaa. Not only will they want to kill him for being a schmuck, but they way he acted on t.v. -
I like those Custom Weld boats with the jets. I saw them at the show and I was really impressed. Lots of coin though. they even have cab heat

Ice Shack falls through Ice on Ottawa River
Grimace replied to TroutnMuskieHunter's topic in General Discussion
I hope they pushed those ice blocks back in the hole. That could send a snowmobiler for a loop. I hope they marked the hole as well. Imagine seeing one of those ice chunks at the last minute on your sled. -
Braid and a flouro leader. works for me.

What I pay for my purchases is my responsibility. I don't think this thread prevented anyone from buying overpriced electronics. Anyone in there right mind would take a good long look at all the pricing everywhere and make a well thought out balanced decision. Some places get stuck with high priced stock, some get a good batch at a good price and torch the other place, but they might get you on something else while they are at it.

Wicked post. I fish with my father steady, he is 60 and I am 30. We argue (jokingly) over techniques, spots. Make fun of each other when we screw up, run each other out of worms and minnows. My father taught me a lot when I was a kid. But in the last few years he has taught me so much more as a man. Your tribute to your father was awesome. The fact that it reminded the people here of there own fathers is a gift you just gave everyone. Cheers

I think the sealine 47 is a bit much, unless you are using leadcore. 27's are more than enough. lots of line capacity. I used a 17 this past fall and it was perfect. The funny thing is one of my favourite rods in my spread is my spare bait caster with the line counter attached to the shaft of the rod. You have to use fireline so you dont run into line capacity issues, I just tie on a 10 foot flouro lead.

Holy cow. That looks like the liquor store and gas station near the cut off to Alban. Am I correct? Never good when a gas station floods, thats for sure. glad to hear your store is out of the muck

I do not think that Don Cherry has ever Promoted the cheap kind of actions Chris Simon has displayed, What he does promote however is our kids not hitting each other from behind, player respect, kids not wearing shorter gloves like they did in the early 90's, no touch icing to prevent more injuries. I have never heard Don Cherry say " oh yeah kids go and crack your stick through there head or put your skate blade into there leg." Chris Simon does not have the wiring in his head that puts impulse reactions on the back burner. It is that simple. We all have impulse reactions in our minds but something tells us to stop. He doesn't have it, therefore should not be playing fast paced heavy contact sports. period. counseling may help him come to terms with it when he is off the ice but in the moment he will never be any different. If the NHL lets this guy back in, then they should be liable for his actions and open for lawsuits from any players that get hurt by him in the future.

I like the St Croix ice rods.

Everyone has their scary ice stories. The difference between "natural selection at it's finest" and a scary story that you learned from, is if you died or not. Some people got lucky and learned from a near miss and some people do not get that chance. The man who went through the ice in Stonecliffe, was most likely like you or me, someone who enjoys fishing obviously, the outdoors, probably a real solid and decent human being.

A human being is probably dead. It is a sad story. His family is in for a tough time.

The Creeper sale ended Friday, I just missed it. -
Every time you click on it they think there are gaining interest, and support. Don't bother hitting there site, last thing they should have is a bunch of interest and buzz.

I guess the question is, What would they do if they saw you doing that? would they ask themselves what type of crap you had to put up with that day, wonder what was going on in your life, or would they just set out to improve there stats. I think very highly of our law enforcement, but on the other hand I would like them to obey the laws as well. Again I cant stress the amount of respect I have for our law enforcement they do a bang up job and at times it is thankless. I think everyone should take a look at the police association of ontario and there many efforts in the community, like the kids and cops fishing days, this is all great stuff as long as they don't drive 220 km an hour to get there
