Gd luck to all, happy holiday! If your wonderin why I post at 240, just came bac frm Casino Niagara, and won a few bucks to spent on fishn!
  5. Heading out this morning to the Falls, will bring my centerpin and some roe and flies. Instead spendin time infront of a slot machine, I plan to practice casting and maybe land a few fish. Is the season closed for Niagra shore fishing? Queeston launch. Any1 willing to share other spots? PM (I know this is almost a rhetorical question, but I'll try my luck anyway ) - except for Whirlpool, I think every1 knows that spot. I would be a true survivor if I make it down there this time of the year! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanaka & Happy New Year!
  6. More daylight, more fishing!
  7. mono backing, with 20lb PowerPro check out the new lines coming out in 2009, won't hurt to try them! http://www.tackletour.com/reviewpurefishinglinespre09.html
  8. With the amount of Comorant I see in high density areas such has Hamilton Harbor and etc, it seems like the their survival is here to stay in Canada. They are simply too effective to survive the now warmer climate. I feel like there's nothing we can do, except shoot'em down.
  9. One more final test on Tuesday, then I'm off to Xmas holiday! Havn't fished since the Salmon were kicking. I'm pretty new to trib fishing, especially this time of the year. With the high temps and rain today and yesterday. The tribs should have a good flow of current to break the ice? I plan to fish Wed cause on Tues the rivers are probably too blown-up? What are some of the good colour flies I should bring?
  10. This week I am suppose to study for my finals and such, but find hard to concentrate. Started to watch FLW walleye series on Myoutdoortv. What an interesting show to watch, they show you some of the newest techniques to catch fish, hand lining, split line off planner board, and etc. Myoutdoortv is definitely my alternative to WFN as it has too many shows on repeat! Im sure many of you know the website, but if you are new to it, check it out! Watching TV can actully be good for you! ps. Those Ranger Multi-specie series sure looks tough and effective. http://www.myoutdoortv.com/show-microsite-...lleye-tour.html
  11. Thanks for the early ice reports! Im starting to get the itch real bad. Im glad you are happy with the Humminbird unit!
  12. thanks for the update! Im sure we are all patiently waiting for the ice to get safe. I will definitely try to get another trip to BOQ this winter.
  13. Impressive catches! Some people like myself, have never caught Walleye or Pike of that size, even from a boat. Extra points for getting it from shore! Hmmm, night time is definitely the tip here!
  14. Awsome report, the picture in this report seems endless, and the memory it carries is a true treasure! Congradulation on a great year! the bright colour on those arctic char is amazing! very neat picture with the bugs, fillet knief and the fish!

  16. get it! My first more than $50 reel was Diawa, durable, smooth and caught a lot of fish. I trust their products.
  17. try pacfic mall, they might be able to fix your disc drive. Ive seen them fixing PSP, NDS, they probably can fix it, and maybe under $50 Did you know with the new Xbox interface upgrade, you can copy games to hardrive? I've copied all my favorite games on to the harddrive(elite 120G) and playing of the hard drive is much faster, spares my disc drive and less noisy. (but u do need the initial copy of the game from disc)
  18. OHHHH YOU GOT ME GOOD!
  19. here we go again! Congrad, welcome back! Soon enough we'll get 4+ fantastic reports per week from CC.
  20. nice report, I thought about going to that river today. But with the sudden cold weather, I choose indoor activities instead. Gd catch! What was the magic colour roe?
  21. Fishmaster, its a great bait store/marina you have there. I just started fishing Lower Grand this yr, I have purchased worm from you 24hr shack a couple times, awsome idea! Consider I usually buy my worms at the oddest hrs. I'll be sure to fish more on the Lower Grand next year for Walleye and HUGE catfish. I just saw Fish'n Can show this evening with the catfish episode at Dunnville. Any idea what time is the best for walleye and catfish? Post-spawn? Month?
  22. Optical illusion. This picture has been posted a lot of times. I'm sure 10-20 yrs from now,I'll still be seeing new posts of this picture.
  23. Pass by Lebaron today, saw the sign, "NO TAX" I always thought about getting a pair of new winter boots and a pair of convertible gloves for steelheading. Any suggestion on what type of gloves i should be getting? Wool, Microfleece?
  24. haha there's plenty -manage your tackle box -clean your lures, check for rust and change hooks -lubricate your reels -whipe your fishing rods -think about new goals next year, new target species? -potential boat accesories? -watch WFN and get cabin fever -post and reply on OFC!
  25. I have one aswel, use it on spining rod. It is abit more hassel than one piece line counter reels A good tip if you are using it. If you know you'll consistantly fish at a certain distance, like 100feet,(usually for trolling) use permanent marker to paint a foot of line on the 100' mark. Ive had great success with this method on PowerPro braided line, the colour doesn't come off very easily, but you can always reapply every now and then. Another method is to tie a bobber stopper, just becareful when ur cutting the knot off, don't cut ur main line.
