  1. Nice ride! That's some serious tournament fishing boat. I own a 997 SI aswell, don't know how good you are with electronics, but I'm pretty bad. Took me all season to figure out the basic functions, and I'm still learning. Due to my limited abilities, the unit didnt seem as effective as the ads shown. Here is a really good website that has a lot of useful information on the Sideimaging combos. Just like a computer, the $2k 997si has software updates and bugs. Be sure to sign-up for the Humminbird member on the company's site aswell. Side Imaging May the new boat bring you many successful fishing trips, young_one
  2. Glad to see you back on the board again Scott.
  3. thanks for everyone's input. Skeeter, which Costco are you talking about? When was the last time you seen it? 3hp under 300 sounds like a gd deal.
  4. Planning to buy an power ice auger this month. I primarily fish for perch/walleye. Something light-weighted would be nice. I've only been looking through Lebaron catalogue, and Basspro flier. These are my options, but I’m opened for suggestions: (I don't need the best) http://www.lebaron.ca/pdf_fall_07/icefishi...iffy_eskimo.pdf http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...mp;pageNumber=2

  6. A really random question. Can I drive in Buffalo, NY with my G2 license? Thinking of shopping this weekend with friends.
  7. I was there on Sunday too, with the white Tracker. It was my last trip of the season. Trolled every where, but didn't catch anything. Marked a few fish in the 20-30 arnd Cemant Plant, not sure if they are all eyes. This other black Tracker caught two around that spot. Lol, talk about the hail storm, that was crazy!
  8. REALLY debating to go or not... I don't have the deep fishing stuff, so I would be targeting residential eye's. I got a tracker boat too. PIckering bay? or Napanee, or new location?
  9. WOW... I just started fishing Lake Simcoe this year, great lake! So far last Friday, I caught my PB near Georgina Isl (Very good cover when the wind is strong and coming from North) Nothing compair to your fish, but still my PB. 5.3 lb Hmmm.. drift sock Time to shop

Caught a nice size cat fish aswell using tubes! Too ugly, forgot to take a pic. 7-11 FOW 53cm/20.8inches 5.3 lb Already entered the OFAH award certificate! Dad taking credit of my fish...
  11. Sibbald Point. You mean the provincial park? Or is the launch seperates from the park? If it is in the park? Don't I have to pay the vehicle fee plus each person on board?

  15. I wish that's on my outdoor card Is that the similar style of painting with the current outdoor card? (Sm Bass)
  16. Ohio Fisherman, my boat is no more than 2500lb Aluminum, not fiberglass Is it necessary to carry two anchors? Or should I return the current one for a Navy type anchor? I understand I need a much longer anchor rope Which one is right? Figure A or B? Should I use the clip to attach to the 2nd shackle or should I use the other end of the rope to tie a knot? Figure A (single chain) Figure B (double chain) Uncle Buck, "make sure you tie your anchor rope to the boat... " LOL, I got a hilarious story behind that. Thanks for all your help
  17. Boat dealer adviced me to modified the anchor and include the shackles, chain and additional rope to the anchor setup. How should I do this? I've look through a lot of websites, no help What should I do with all this?
  18. I need information on any camping ground/park that's located in Picton Bay. I would like to have: - camping space - boat launch - docking space - near town of Picton - decent washroom facility Thanks a lot for any suggestion you can offer
  19. bass pro shop Done school today! Summer here i come!
  20. The dealer is... Yesterday, June 5, I finally got my boat back. Prior to me getting my boat, the dealer gave me a Tundra 21 WT to compensate the inconvenience. So really, I didn’t miss much of fishing in May and now my ‘new new boat’ is ready for the summer. Long story short, I didn’t have to pay any extra money, and the rest I’ll point form. - Brand new boat, I think the old Tracker Tundra SC was a 03 or 04 model (not 100% sure), new boat is still a Tracker Tundra SC but newer model. (pic A) - The transom welding is an addition to the stock boat, I was told it was professionally done by a local welding company. (See pic B ) - The ‘submerged boat’ had a 9.9HP trolling motor and a 150 Mercury Nitro Engine(old model engine, see pic C) - New boat has a brand-new 9.9HP T.M and a FREE UPGRADED 150HP OptiMax Engine (Pic D) - With the new OptiMax, we got the ‘duo-cable’ steering as well. (Better than before, which was the normal steering control) - The cables and transducer for my HB 997si unit are reinstalled - Free Auto-bildge upgrade, the stock boat didn't have auto-bildge - The dealer also generously gave us a free winterization/storage package In conclusion, I’m quite pleased with the customer service from my boat dealer. Although there were many delays before I got my boat, I understand how busy this time of the year is for boat centres. I can say I’m a pretty happy customer with this particular boat dealer and they have my full respect for everything they’ve done. If you want to know who the dealer is, PM me. Done high school this Friday, last 2 exams. Going fishing on Monday, Cook's Bay for some pike. Taking 2 buddies from school to showoff the new boat. Love to hear some Cook's Bay pike tips. A Yes, the sticker says ON this time on both sides, not NO. The Old B The New C The engines Cover Bow Transom Captain's Seat Please don't steal my boat... Bad omen of the 'submerged boat'. How symbolic, I should've known. I know, I need a new floating key chain
  21. sick... i have a team now!
  22. fishing was good! Location: Deseronto area Bait: Northland Tackle spinner rig with worm Fish on! Fish taking a dive Almost there... nice eater one of two bigger fish of the day Pike was taking the worm rig too the other big fish dinner
  23. hmm paddling home...I didn't go to Quinte due to school work, but my parents and couple friends went with the temporary boat that the dealer has given us. The problem back then I believe was that "red safety switch" not set to proper position. Run/Off, it was in the middle As for the progress of our new boat, it's just taking a some time for the shop to finalize deals and installations. Again, nothing is finalized until I see the new boat on my drive way. I'll inform everyone as soon as I hear anything from the dealers.
  24. The additional weight was not the cause for why the boat sank, it was the improper sealing around the area with the overflow holes. The additional weight only accelerated the sinking process. My blue waterline is only a rough sketch, but I can ensure you that the water was able to go through the transom overflow holes quite easily. In terms of what the dealer has settled on us, nothing right now is confirmed. I would only post information/updates when the decision has already been made, just to be accurate when I inform all of you. I hope I explained the problem well enough now...
  25. Uncle Buck, the recommended Max HP for this boat is 175HP. Both 175 and 150HP have same weight. (Mercury 4-stoke, even the Verado) It is the liter of the engine that settles for different weight. Example: Mercury Optimax, 1.5L 75-115HP 2.5L 135-175HP 3.0L 200-225HP. So what I’m trying to say is, the transom is definitely taking a lot of weight, and certainly it is NOT the reason why it sink, it only accelerated the water intake process. Sry I'm not very good explaining the problem, there's still alot for me to learn, boat engine parts, engine difference, proper boat part terms and etc.
