  1. Talked to the homeowner thinking it was salamanders but he said they were fast and striped. Showed him pictures of the skink and he confirmed they were the same. Have to report this to MNR once i see one there.
  2. Have heard them buzzing during the heat of summer since being a child. Many times have found them, even as chrysalis coming out of ground. Tonight my daughter saw this one climbing a tree before it came out of its shell.
  3. Hey, despite the injury it looks like a great day of fishing 3 muskies is superb. Have been cut by those critters a couple of times, had all the stuff; rubberized big net or cradle, Knipex, big needle nose pliers, landing skills etc... a few years ago went to reach in to cradle once for fish photo, fish thrashed and tooth caught my wrist. They are nasty fish! lol
  4. Nice work there Mr. O'Conner! You are very prolific with the art work. Gonna try oil painting fishes when i have the time. Inspiring stuff
  5. Interesting! Recently had a girlfriend tell me that these lizards are quite rampant in her parents backyard in King City, just north of Toronto. Haven't seen one yet personally but eventually i hope too. Here is a write up on them includes a clickable map of range according to the MNR. http://cfs.nrcan.gc.ca/subsite/glfc-amphibians/eumeces-fasciatus
  6. WOW! Is there actually more to this trip to be posted? What an incredible post thus far. Looks like you reached the pinnacle of freshwater fishing in Ontario. Thanks for posting!
  7. Real great looking tiger musky there. It's too bad there is pike in there pretty solid now, but at least there is a chance at a tiger. That's a great fish
  8. Nice pile of fish! Good to see a healthy fishery over that way.
  9. It still is good fishing around there in mid-winter. The numbers seem high but maybe new diversions from intake will lower amount.
  10. Nice 40+ inch musky, good thing you stayed the duration making sure it was alive.
  11. Thanks for sharing this and making this adventure possible for others!
  12. Nice going Dax, beauty fish !
  13. Thought for sure Carwin was going to win after that first round barrage. Incredible that Lesnar survived and won. WOW! Started watching when Stephen Bonnar won a great fight. The fights were all good after that.
  14. Looking forward to the big fights. Hopefully Carwin wins but whoever wins definitely will deserve the title.
  15. Not sure who would win this, but thinking Carwin. Lesnar is slightly favoured. Who Knows?
  16. Just acquired a St. Croix Triumph for cheap, the above statement is good enough endorsement.
  17. Another decent musky for you Have to try that lake.
  18. Looks like a good day! That bucktail jig rippin seemed to work. Good stuff
  19. Somethings coming down from southern Georgian Bay as well, towards Barrie http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/radar/index_e.html?id=WKR
  20. Wow, feeling an earthquake and seeing a tornado in a few hours must be very uncommon! Great pictures Wayne! Looks like the devastation is worse than thought. Incredible that there was no fatalities.
  21. Have used this method above and it has worked thus far...
  22. Nice musky! Looks like a great place to spend your free time
  23. Looks like a great trip! Good to see that the slot limits appear to be producing larger fish. Thanks for posting
  24. Sounds like a 'crisis was created' This helped justify the billion dollars in spending on security. No police yesterday hmmm.... At least they boxed in Lisa Laflamme and her CTV news crew, part of those damn hippies
